"Great Speaker System for Wedding DJs!"

I needed to downsize my system because out of the blue we started doing a lot of road trip travel weddings. I've been a QSC guy for many years and my current system at he time was 2 K12.2s, 2 K8.2s, and 2 KS112 subs. I did a solid month of online research before venturing out to hear all of the column and array systems. With cost being no object I was pretty sure I was gong to buy a pair of the new JBL PRX Ones. The specs looked great and I know that JBL is reliable. I compared 3 Bose systems, 2 LD systems, HK Polar, Evolve 50, the PRX One, and the RCF Evox 8 and J8s. The PRX One and the RCF 8s stood head and shoulders above the rest. The bass on the J8 was better than the Evox 8, so the final test was the J8 vs the PRX One at full volume. It was VERY close. They were neck and neck until we got to full volume. The RCF seemed a little cleaner but the PRX was a little louder. It wasn't $600 louder, and since I was buying a pair it certainly wasn't $1200 louder! When I arrived home I set up a test of a J* vs a K8.2 over a KS112 sub. They were pretty equal until we hot max volume. The QSCs started sounding a bit muddy while the RCFs stayed crystal clear. I think I made the right choice!

I heard the evox at the 2018 Namm Show. I stop doing my homework on the latest column speakers. I used them with r&b bands, rock bands and djs. Very clean, clear and powerful. I used them in a room that was a 1000 capacity along with two JBL subs, and it was on fire. Plenty of compliments. All my ratings should be solid 5 stars. It won’t let me adjust it.

I didn't believe the hype about these column arrays but wanted them for ease of use and ceremony set up. Also could act as aback up system. When I tell you these things GET LOUD, I'm not kidding around. I think the EVs have a clearer sound, but these RCFs have better bass output. That 12 had my deck vibrating. For some reason I still think the QSC CP12 out perform these. But with that being said, I would trade it for those.

Just got mine in white and used them for the first time at a wedding with about 100 people. All i can say is they deserve all the good reviews they get. Very quick to set up. More than enough volume for any small to midsize venue. They look very clean. I put these to the max without even breaking them in and they did not disappoint in the least and that's with minor clipping here and there playing house, top 40 and hip hop... you do have to keep an eye for clipping if your playing this style of music but it takes a lot to get them to clip. Very impressed with the headroom for a system of this size. Very little feedback on the mic at full volume and I have these right next to my booth and the vocals are nice a clear. Amp plate was warm but not hot at high volume so it looks like the cooling for the amp plates is adequate. They have a very full balanced sound right down to about 43-45Hz. In comparison i also have the Turbosound ip3000s which i love ....(when they work).....and compared to these they feedback less ... they are more compact and a lighter setup. Sub is real punchy and for as small as it is projects bass very well. The turbosound was a bandpass design and even though it may be a hair louder these are more musical bass wise meaning they play flatter and more consistent across the low frequency range. RCF definitely did a great job balancing the sound of this unit im very impressed. If you need speakers for a big wedding venue you could get away with these but get yourself some subs, cross them over and take some stress off the 12s you'll get more headroom out of them. The tops should be able to keep up they really do a nice job of projecting far and even. Most of my venues I do weddings at, these RCFs can manage the square footage well. If your on the fence about getting these don't be ... they are excellent performers and for the price they can't be beaten for volume, looks and footprint unless your going toward a point source setup.

I purchased these after doing a show through them with powered 18" subs under each side. We wanted to upgrade our acoustic show sound as we are doing 300 to 500 seat places. The RCF deliver in a big way. Clean...Loud and light.

these Arrays are awesome. Deep clear low end bass and highs that will satisfy in any type of event. Used them at a 175 capacity wedding with no problem. If your looking for that Small set up without pushing out too much cash, Get these bad boys because they won't disappoint.

I went with the RCF due to size and convenience. I was in the market for the Turbosound ip2000, but after comparing reviews, I chose this one. It has won me over!! It is light, convenient, powerful and loud. Not to mention that it looks great! I only needed the one for a large bingo hall with about 150 people. I am saving for a second. Gone are the days of carrying subs and heavy ass tops.

8 months on the road using them 3-4 times a weeks, shut them off on Saturday, turned them back on Tuesday and the failed to work. Sent amps back to RCF who turned them around in just one day, which in my 40+ years of doing live audio means they know they have an issue, replaced them to find out the 12's blew when the amp did.... Don't bother trying to convince RCF it was their fault... As we all know, no manufacturers warranty their speakers... Stuck with a set of unuseable overpriced boutique speakers... I'll stick with JBL from now on...
