I love how small but loud this amp gets. I thought the clean sound is amazing. I 1st ordered the 8 inch speaker and returned it for the 12 in bc I felt like the 8 inch speaker sounded like a practice amp when running distortions thru it. But the 12 inch speaker is the one for me. Just a little taller then the 8 but has so much sound. It's truly amazing. Kinda sad my fender twin reverb and peavey classic 50 won't get as much run time. But at 25 lbs vs 85 lb classic 50. It's so light so powerful and sounds So good that it's the amp I grab on the go. And with the direct out I don't have to lug a mic, stand, cables to get the amp in the mix.

I bought 2 MP 200's for a stereo set up. Also use the 2 of the Toneblock 200s on my peddle board. In fairness I have to say I own a studio in NJ and we liked the Quilter line so much we became dealers. Pat Quilter knows as much about tube amps as anyone in the business. He took that knowledge and put it into a solid state amp. Instead of the standard PA in a box solid state these amps sound like a classic tube amp with incredible harmonics sustain, and outstanding overdrives tremolos and reverbs on board that are truly state of the art They are all analog no emulation. What struck me first was the communication between the pick ups and the amp Its almost like playing acoustic it reacts to how hard or soft you play it and there is always a ton of head room. No tubes to buy, no biasing. They are incredibly light weight. The 200 watt head weighs about 6 LB and fits neatly into an airplanes overhead. It can handle and OHM speakers. The power source is not an issue. Club power with neon signs and 40 other things running on it wont affect your sound. No matter what the power is in the club the amp will use it and self adjust. Unlike most tube amps you don't have to hunt to find the one sweet spot for the amp or the break up point. I just adjust the gain and master volume and you can get the sweet spot at any wattage. We have been doing many blind tests where the user has no idea this amp is solid state and so far we have had no one pick that out except one person who saw the size of the unit and realized the size and weight didnt add up. His 30 watt Fender ultrasonic weighs 45 lbs the mp 200 weighs about 17 lbs. If you are thinking about buying one don't hesitate, zZounds does great with the pay as you play. You can leave your really expensive tube amps home and tour with these without missing a note. I don't know anyone including me who isn't completely happy with theirs . So order one and you'll get it for the holiday most likely. If you don't like it you always return it, but you won't.

Sometimes I marvel at the sound this small package produces. It's a very good acoustic amp, a very great jazz amp, a great blues amp, a good rock amp, and a bad heavy metal amp. Small and lightweight, but with power and punch. More features than I could dream of and a cool lighted control panel. The Full Q is awesome. Sometimes I marvel that not everyone has one in their amp arsenal, but hey, I've got you covered: I bought two.
