Nice wires. Definitely come alive when the snare is hit hard. The sensitivity part works better with a diplomat gauge drum head. When I first put these on the snare had the factory installed head which was thin like a diplomat by demo. I put an ambassador clear on and the sensitivity decreased quite a bit. Still has lots of pop and projection but I don't always hit the drum all out metal style. If you're playing multiple styles of music that require different dynamics .you'll find that center hitting is the way to go using a bit of touch and control. That's why I recommend a diplomat type of snare side head.

Musical Background:

Long time player both professionally and hobbiest.

Musical Style:

Rock blues reggae hard rock pop and many different variations along the way.
