Pleasantly surprised with the tones right out of the gate. With my Bogner on crunch, it growls in that desirable vintage way. Pull the volume down, and it cleans right up. Both pickups sound really good; they will stay in the guitar. In prior SEs I've always replaced the pickups, but not in this 594 standard. Clean tones are solid, playing with high gain; she sounds rich and deep. I'm blown away; all the reviews I've read are true - the SE 9594 is an exceptional guitar, definitely a top pick under $1,000.

All I can say is WOW!!! This guitar is amazing. The fit and finish, tone and playability are second to none. The vintage sunburst finish shows off the flame in the top beautifully. This guitar has a nice vintage feel and tone that really shines the more that I play it. It's a true joy to play and just look at. Also the 20% off just makes it that much better. Thanks PRS for making a truly Amazing guitar.

I received my Single cut vintage cherry 594 on Monday. Haven't been able to put it down since. Fit and finish is phenomenal. Frets are perfect, and it sounds amazing through my Fender Blues Deluxe Reverb. My son was also impressed with it as well. So for Christmas I'll be getting another one in tobacco sunburst for him.
