With David Grissom being heavily involved with anything that has his name on it I figured he had a lot of input even on the SE model. But I really had no idea how good this under a grand guitar could be. I have mostly all expensive guitars and a couple less expensive. When playing this guitar it feels and sounds like I’m playing a 3000 dollar guitar. I am especially surprised how good the single coil tap sound is. I really honestly cannot believe that PRS made a guitar of this quality in a factory in Indonesia. They must have top quality inspections there. When I received the guitar it was just barely out of tune. I tuned it up and played for hours bending the heck out of strings and using the whammy several times. Still in perfect tune. Even my custom Gibson didn’t do that. I got sunburst model. I play hard rock and classic rock. I can’t believe I will be keeping the pickups. They sound beautiful and bring out my creative side. The good- Every single thing. The bad.- I didn’t like the knobs , so 10 dollars later and new ones. No big deal. zZounds had my guitar on my doorstep less than 48 hours after I placed the order with free shipping. No company out there can beat that. Thank you for being there for us musicians!!! I would definitely recommend them.

I am 50 yrs old, I toy around with playing bass, drums, guitar, recently vocals, and have played many guitars as I started playing around 13 yrs old. Took a long 12-15 year break while raising children. Been back at it off and on for about 5-6 years now. Like many, I've taken on some luthier training and toy with building some. This is the perfect guitar right out of the box except for tuning. I love the pups with or without effects. And by effects I mean pedals, multi effects boards, or software effects. Straight into the front of the amps with no effects this thing is a tonal beast! I have many Gibson, fender, bc rich, many vintage and modern guitars. (Somewhere around 85-100 total) I had no idea this guitar would stand up to the best of them. These frets are perfect. You can lower the strings to lay down for the easiest fretting you ever played with. Frets are polished butter smooth. Sustain for days even with bends. Almost any tone you want out of these pups. Tones from a ridiculously low heavy B tuning! (Yes the 25" scale length handles B tuning like a champ with adjustments to the trem and truss rod.) And tones all the way to super glassy full sounding standard cleans. The split sounds great too! The pups are super quiet even on a dimed hiwatt full stack. Also super quiet on a dimed blackstar mkll full stack. Tried them on my orange crush 100 stack dimed, no feedback when you don't want it. The pups are powerful enough to ring on forever if you want them to though. Plugged into a couple of different small practice amps, same excellent results. This thing just sounds good. And plays super nice. I read the review of the player that stated it feels like a $3000 guitar. I concur that statement. I'm a Gibson and fender fan. This guitar has placed the PRS DGT in front of those two. I would've never thought that was possible. I'm not sure how the other PRS guitars are. But they won me over on this DGT signature series. There's no flaws in the finish, build or the configuration. I won't change anything on this one. I usually change or mod something on any guitar even if it's just string size. I bought it for the 22 frets, and the scale length expecting to mod this thing top to bottom. I got took to school when I hooked this up and started playing it. It'll stay bone stock. I thought I had played them all over the years until I played this one! I think every player should have one of this DGT series. It's just amazing of all the different sounds and different tones I've gotten out of this guitar compared to my past favorites. And I haven't gotten through all it has to offer yet. I kinda feel ripped off with my more expensive purchases in the past lol. I could've saved a lot of money if I would've started with this one. Anybody wanna buy about 50 guitars? I finally found their replacement lol.

I just picked this up last week from Zzounds. It was on backorder and I figured I would be waiting for a month or 2 before I got it. 1 week later, I got the email that it was on the way. The sunburst finish is fantastic. Perfect weight, and stunning looks. All of the electronics are great, the coil tap even sounds good. Great taper on the volume and tone controls. The neck is on the wide side, but I adjusted quickly. Pickups sound awesome and the whammy bar is set up for kind of a Gretsch feel out of the box. Set up was great, it comes with 10's but I changed them out to 9's as that is my preference. This rig is worth every penny, a super high quality instrument guaranteed to inspire you to play. I was a bit skeptical when I ordered it, but it was one of the best gear purchases I have ever made. Mark me down as a PRS believer from here on out. As always, Zzounds was super easy to deal with. Badass guitar!!

While my overall experience with the PRS GPT S was positive, it ultimately didn't quite meet my expectations. The sound quality was excellent, but unfortunately, the tone switch started malfunctioning after just a few months of use. Additionally, I found that the tuners tended to slip quite a bit, which was somewhat frustrating. Despite these issues, it's undeniably a beautiful guitar. However, it didn't quite deliver the sound and feel I was searching for.

Can't say it was due to the shipping process....but....after 2 weeks of it sitting on a dock in Waycross ga, I get the guitar....right away slight fret buzz e string, as the guitar I'm guessing dried out, the neck started slightly twisting.....after that, I could tune it, play it one or two minutes, and then spend the next hour trying to get it tuned again resulting in frustration. I've gotten with zZounds, and we are exchanging it for a new dgt se.....will give update
