"Amazing Guitar"

Completely impressed and amazed by this guitar. I'm a Gibson player and own several Les Paul's from Tributes, Studios to Standards. I have fallen in love with the satin finishes that Gibson has been using on some of their guitars but the satin finish on the PRS is next level. You can actually feel the grain and pores of the wood. Albeit it doesn't have that intoxicating new Gibson smell. Fretwork has been less than perfect on some of my Gibsons but this PRS is on point when it comes to its frets. The neck on this guitar is labeled by PRS as "Pattern regular neck" which I had no idea what that meant, but after playing with it for a while I would say it is thinner than the Gibson 50's neck profile but slightly thicker than the Gibson 60's neck. Something that falls in between the two, which I find extremely comfortable. Sound is versatile when plugged in and it being a semi-hollow body, gives you a wide range that isn't too sharp, tinny, or twangy like some fenders might have but still gives you that hint of a Fender single coil. This guitar is actually making me consider buying another one in a different color, it's that good.

"My Absolute Favorite Guitar Right Now!"

I owned a PRS Semi-Hollow already, and was looking for a companion that was light-weight. I loved the description of this, as well as the unique pickup configuration and retro-look. I purchased the Red with the non-gloss finish, and it is beautiful. I can play it all night long, and it is so light, and the sounds cover every tonal range for my needs. The craftsmanship on the S2 guitars is beautiful. At the time I purchased this, it was literally the only one in the country available as they had completely sold out. If you want a versatile guitar that is light and sounds awesome... don't hesitate!

"Everything I want in a PRS"

This guitar was everything I could want in a PRS, with just a little bit more. I've played and owned SE models before, but this was my first time buying my own American made model. It looks and feels fantastic in my hands. The tobacco burst has that beautiful character of a classic guitar with modern matte, and the open pore finish adds a unique level of texture. I primarily play black metal/death metal, but I really like to incorporate glassy/chime like cleans in my music. This guitar goes above and beyond in that category. The single coil has that awesome thick bluesy tone to it, and the Starla bridge is glassy and sharp for when you want to push the guitar just a little harder. I haven't really tried to get any brutal tones from this; I have plenty of other guitars that do that. The hardest I've gone is grunge and it definitely suits it well. The only real cons for me are the shorter scale length and the much rounder fingerboard, as I usually play 6, 7, and 8 string guitars with flatter boards (16-20") and longer scales (25.5 in+). But with a little adjustment time I'm sure I'll be able to get used to these minute differences. If you're looking to treat yourself to a high quality instrument worth every cent, just pull the trigger on this beauty.

"A Lot of new tones!"

Like someone else said, right now, this is my favorite. I'm quick to pick it up and play without plugging it in. Plugged in it has an awesome tonal range. Using in my DAW with LogicPro it's really easy to get quiet, noiseless tones but still the crunch and sting when you want. The neck fits my hand perfectly. Overall, the quality is what you would expect. One issue to be aware of. Could be my clumsiness, but I've noticed that small chips have developed on the bottom edge where it rests in my guitar stand. Stand has rubber over the prongs but I still I wish the finish was heavier or maybe clear coated somehow over the antique finish. All i all I would buy it again.

Just got it today from zZounds and it is a blast to play. Generally I don't buy anything without hearing it, but I saw and heard plenty of youtube vids, so I was confident about what I was getting. Laying down tracks in my DAW thru an Ensemble it's woody, chimey, jazzy, crunchy, country-it's just got it all. Reasonably well set up from PRS-no complaints. As a Fender/Gibson guy this has really opened my eyes...and ears! Not really crazy about the antique white over mahogany but I'm getting used to it.

Got this guitar for Xmas/Bday first PRS. Playability on point by far the best guitar Ive played in a bit. The only issue is when I would engage the neck pickup it would fall out. Tried a new plug twice nothing, the volume pot was a tad askew also. zZounds were ok to deal with, the issue is they are on backorder for who knows how long. Kept telling me to check back, my personal opinion is they're not gonna carry it. So I sent it back and am waiting for a refund which sux because I loved playing it.
