"Still working with OS X Mavericks"
Just broke out my Firepod (same thing as an FP10), and it works perfectly on my iMac running Mavericks 10.9.1. I'm pleased that PreSonus saw fit to build a device that conforms to Apple's specs so tightly that it's continued to be support after all these years (unlike my Alesis IO|26, which has *no* Mavericks support).

This is a really great unit. Now that I am using it with Logic Express, I can use all of the outputs on the back. This allows me to run a guitar straight in on one track, then out the back to an amp that I mic onto another track.

This is to update my previous report. Using Logic Express, I am able to use all 8 outputs on the back.
Ease of Use
If you use it with a Mac you can integrate it with other produces. I now have two FP10's and have combined them with an Alesis MultiMix8FW. I now have a full 24 track system using Logic Express.

I gave it an 8 because the 3-8 outputs will not work when used with Firewire through a computer. They only work in stand alone mode. It does say this in the updated owners manual but nowhere on the Presonus web sight.
The Wow Factor
I don't know about "sex appeal", but it is "cool" looking.
