These are some awesome speakers for their size. This is my first purchase of a studio monitor and I am impressed. Build and sound quality seems excellent. Loving these little guys so far. Great job PreSonus and zZounds!

"A steal for $100"

I bought these to replace an old pair of Audioengine A2’s that were connected to a bedroom TV/music setup. I’m not using them for mixing, though I think they’d do very nicely in a bedroom studio or as a secondary set of monitors. They have a very even, neutral sound that absolutely embarrasses the Audioengines, which have severely bloated mid-bass and rolled-off highs. They’re also less than half the price of the Audioengines. The bass doesn’t reach down to subwoofer levels, but if you’re expecting that out of a 3” woofer you’re going to be disappointed. The bass you do hear is clean and accurate, especially for a small monitor that costs so little. The room adjustment controls are a nice plus. I don’t know how I lived with the A2’s for so long. They are such a ripoff. If you’re looking for compact powered speakers, skip the consumer-level “audiophile” market altogether and go for some studio monitors. You will get much better sound for your money. For $100, these really are quite a bargain. And as always, zZounds is a pleasure.

Amazing little speakers. Tight and controlled and perfect in your monitor chain during production when comparing mixes when the sound of a smaller speaker end user is desired. Cant say enough about Presonus who always produces top notch gear and for zZounds who makes things posiible to those who can only dream. Rock on guys!

Best active/powered computer/bookshelf speakers $100 can buy. These are loud. I use them as computer speakers. So, I'm only sitting a couple feet away. The bass is great - sounds great. Even when walking away from the speakers, the bass still sounds great. I have owned these for a few months. It does seem that they pick up cell phone (or something of that nature) interference once in a while. Rating 4.5 stars due to the interference, but I would still recommend these.

First off ,these are a great value, overused but applies here.Clarity is very good, great detail in the background soundstage, bass is a little down but dont let that sway your decision.Im impressed at this pricepoint im hearing things ive never heard before.I would reccomend these to my friends at any cost twice this level.
