I am a savvy electronics, musical instrument, and studio-equipment user. But, I originally bought a top end DJ controller and never could fully appreciate it or really easily learn how to use it. I became frustrated and sold that unit. But, I still wanted to learn DJing because it was always fun to spin tunes for others to enjoy. Enter the Pioneer WeGo4! This unit does everything I wanted to learn to do, and it is a real bargain. It includes a license for Virtual DJ LE, and a license for Rekordbox. Also, it works with the included license for Pioneer's WeDJ on the iPad and it works with Djay Pro for the iPad (available separately). Overall it has consistently high ratings from tech savvy guys like me just starting to DJ as well as high ratings from pro DJs.It is very light, yes all plastic, but still well made and easy to move around on the go. The controls are all high quality, too. I added the Decksaver(tm) dust cover.I can use this controller with my iPad to learn the ropes and mix anywhere with ease, and turn around and hook it up to my Mac laptop and mix on the top end Mac DJing software to try out the more complex DJing options.Overall, if you are a person wanting a very flexible controller that is lightweight, can accommodate a full learning curve with mixing, scratching, sampling and recording, FX, and looping at your fingertips, this might be your best bet. I think a purchase of the Pioneer WeGo4 could be one of the best possible controller selections for people with goals like mine. After using my WeGo4 for a while I think it might be a great choice for those on a learning curve who want to have fun, get results, and avoid getting overwhelmed in both their pocketbook and with the learning curve associated with larger more complex 1st controllers.
