Peavey Marvel Spider-Man Half Size Acoustic Guitar

While this 1/2-sized guitar may not do whatever a spider can, it still offers snappy acoustic tones at an amazing price.

This little 1/2 size guitar is all they say about it, and more. It is a solid litle instrument, with good sound (surprising given its size!) and good tuning pegs that hold pitch. I didn't buy this for a kid- I bought it for me, as a travel guitar. But I am having too much fun playing it! The fret board is really narrow (1 1/2" at the nut, 2" at the body, and only 12 frets), which is okay for me, because I have small hands, but would easily be too small for a man's hands. The little guitar weighs 3 pounds, comes with a strap and picks, with low action and good strings on it. The headstock cover is child proof, and adult proof also. There are 2 pegs which hold the headstock cover in place, top and bottom. There is nothing easy about prying it off, and the paint chipped around the bottom hole, but that is not visible when the headstock cover goes back on, so it doesn't really bother me. The Spiderman image is well done, and looks almost 3d. Nice product! Nice service- it got here 2 days faster than I expected with no shipping charges. I bought the World Tour 1/2 size Acoustic Gig Bag, which is about 4-6 inches too long for this guitar, but what the heck. I have a guitar and case to take with me on a plane. It holds tuning, and I can sing with it. Fun, Fun, Fun! Now, if it only had an electric pickup in it. I want to pick up 2 more of these for my friend's kids to learn to play on. They are cheap enough to buy as a gift, and solid enough to play on.

The guitar was a huge hit! Its great as a play guitar, but also has the ability to be tuned and have good sound. The delivery was very prompt and there were no problems associated with shipping. Our son loves it!

"Peavey Marvel Spiderman 1/2 scale acoustic"

Peavey Marvel Spiderman acoustic, 19" scale, tuning peg cover, cool illustrations, it has a zero fret. I had planned to tune it A to A in the hope that it was a playable miniature guitar, however the intonation is mortally out, the 12th fret action is high and there is no truss rod. I could shave the bridge down for the action but can think of nothing to do for the intonation short of moving the bridge. It came with light strings so it plays noodly and sounds boingy in conventional tuning, but I'll raise it a 4th and see if anything improves. I'll most likely return it. Breedlove, bring back the C20T!
