Awesome sound from a self-powered cabinet speaker. I DJ regularly for a living and needed a nice speaker to cover the low-end frequencies that are essential for dance music. This speaker punches out rumbling bass and I was very very pleased with my purchase. Peavey makes good quality items, and this is no exception. I am definitely considering buying a second subwoofer just for that extra oomph, and I wouldn't consider getting anything else after owning this sub. Don't hesitate, buy it now if you are considering, you won't regret it.

Having received this sub, it was well-packed, and after a bit of clean-up, looked great. I have since played 2 gigs with it and it has performed flawlessly.
Subwoofers make all the differance in keeping dancers on the floor :)

Just added this to my system. I have 2 powered 15" mains, but needed a little more bottom end. This exceeded my expectations. It added all the bottom end that I needed and more. Also increased the overall volume of my system, allowing me to do larger venues. I highly recommend this subwoofer, in this price range or even greater price ranges.

Sound
After many reviews I thought I was buying a nice subwoofer for the price and after only 4 gigs, it blew! Being a POWERED SUB, it is not suppose to blow and it is only 3 weeks old! I am writing to ZZOUNDS to see where to take it and see what happened. It is not ths fuse nor the bass speaker itself. I think it is the internal amp itself. I will update thru here, but so far, it was great while it lasted!

Wish it had lockdown wheels/casters.

Its just plug and play, but after 4 gigs, no more play! WHY?

Poor quality in the insides, I expected more from PEAVEY!
