I was concerned about the low end, with only 2/10s. But this amp combo did not disappoint. A little heavy for it's size, but again manageable. The angled baffle is a innovative idea. Very pleased, would buy it again and again, but with Peavey's dependability reputation I should be just find.

Bought this combo bass amp nearly 2 years ago and I have traveled and gigged with it and it pounds every time! The two 10 in drivers deliver great tone and has great stage presence. The only downside is the angled baffle does rattle a bit at higher volumes but with a little ingenuity that can be taken care of and the on board tuner leaves something to be desired. To really get the full potential of this amp, plug in an extension speaker (I use an 18 Peavy sub) and that helps deliver an amazing low end around 50hz to 60hz on stage so your audience can hear and feel the bass! Highly recommend!

Okay, so my background in bass has always lead me down the road of heavy metal and hard hitting rock sounds. Recently I’ve been getting a ton of country gigs. I’ve been a big fan of Peavey products for a long time since they really do standup to abuse. I sold my Ampeg 410 and my Peavey Mini Max head and decided a combo amp was the life for me. Right of the box I pushed the volume half way and could not believe how loud this thing was. About an hour into playing, tragedy struck, the ever so annoying death rattle that comes from a loose speaker assembly or a cracked baffle hissed in my ears. I called Zzounds and they sent me a return slip and I was ready to buy a new amp. However, I had a gig that night and needed the rig. Turns out the screws were a little loose on the grill and some of the foam dampening around it was not sealed properly. Screwed the grill down and boom no rattle! I’ve gigged thins thing four times a week for the last four months and it has not wavered a bit. Also the bass contour switch is an absolute game changer! The punch you get from it is insane without sacrificing you cutting through the mix. Also Peaveys gain staging is unrivaled. Zero grit until you kick in the overdrive! Screw the fender rumble, buy this American Dream made in china and thank me later!
