I love the shows, look almost better than the picture coming out of that shipping box. The heads weren't great, but will hold out for a couple months. The cymbals were the only thing that I was disappointed me were the cymbals. Right out of the box the cymbals were warped. I placed my hi-hats on the stand, and within 10 minutes, they warped into sounding like a trash can lid. The ride has a decent crash sound when hitting hit hard enough, but could be much better if it was just thicker. They were the stock cymbals though, so I can't complain. Now I just have an excuse to buy Zildjians. My recommendation is when purchasing this set, get some other set of cymbals to go with it. Also, just be prepared to buy some new heads after a few weeks. Other than that, I'm satisfied with this set and was worth the price.

I wanted to buy an inexpensive set of drums for my kid's 6th birthday. I also wanted it parked in my home studio for future band rehearsals (I'm a keyboardist). After much research, I chose the Pearl Forum kit because it was a quality name and the kit included everything and 2 cymbals. I paid about $630 for it and am very pleased with the sound and quality of the kit (I play a bit of drums myself). I've toured all over the world with many major acts and I know that any of my old drummers would approve of this set. When I first got the set, the cymbal was bent in shipping and the bass drum had warping of the veneer. Pearl sent me a new cymbal and they will send me a new bass drum as soon as they find one in my color so I am very pleased with their quick response, and, I didn't have to send the damaged items back. Overall, I'm a happy camper.
