PRS Paul Reed Smith CE 24 Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar (with Gig Bag)

Get the best of both tone worlds. The PRS CE 24 combines the snap and sustain of a bolt-on neck guitar with the airy resonance of its semi-hollow body.

Pros: a beautifully finished guitar, feels light and balanced, excellent build quality, comfortable neck that is wide and thin with a very smooth satin finish, perfectly beveled and tapered frets, very playable guitar that stays in tune.Cons: the pickups suck, luckily this is an easy fix. I installed a set of Duncan JB/Jazz pickups that were worth every Penny. They really brought this guitar to life. SE bridge does hold its tuning well but in my opinion dont ring out as nicely as the older version that had a brass block, still acceptable. NO CASE. This is my real beef with PRS on this guitar. At a nearly $2200 price point a gig bag is totally unacceptable to me.Only a fool would leave their house with this guitar in a gig bag. They dropped the ball on this and lose a star from me in this review. Every thing else can be worked through, but this guitar should have a hard shell case INCLUDED. It sounds like I am being negative on this guitar but I am just trying to be truthful, but in fact I actually LOVE, this guitar. In the short time I have had it, it is quickly becoming my go to favorite guitar.

Musical Background:

Been playing for 30 years, but just for my own pleasure and enjoyment

Musical Style:

Mostly rock and roll and blues

Ok.. so I was a little hesitant to spend the money on this guitar.. but after having it for a few weeks now.. money well spent.. guitar is built to the highest standards .. sounds and feels great.. the satin nitro neck is a joy to play.. the entire process could not have been any easier with the pay while you play program.. buy one.. you won’t regret it.. the most versatile guitar I’ve ever owned
