I put this amp to an abusive test. Dimed, and driven hard for 4 hours in another room and it never even warmed up, didn't get hot at all on two 4x12, 16 ohm cabs. I have two blackstar ht stage 100 mkii full stacks. I like them in stereo. The 4 cabs are mkii ht-venue series with the grey grille's. The amp heads are tube. When I crank them up any at all, and attempt to get a clean sound, they just won't clean up well. So I'm thinkin they're not made to do that. They're made for that grungy break-up in distortion. So I snagged this orange super crush 100 solid state from zZounds for a clean sound, thinking ahhh... Cheap, low payment, small, light weight, clean practice amp... Wasn't expecting too much from solid state, and the low price... I was quickly proven all kinds of WRONG! I ran an older DigiTech RP-1000 pedalboard into the input jack, not the effects loop I wanted to hear the clean channel preamp boosted, and see if this amp could take some high input abuse. On the clean patch of the pedalboard. (Factory HIWATT amp PATCH of course.) Plugged up to two 4x12 blackstar cabs (240watt each) with factory celestion 60 watt, 16 ohm speakers, one angle cab, one straight cab. It really sounded a lot like an old school hiwatt cranked up. The loudest, cleanest sound I have ever heard from any amp not running through thousands of watts of PA. I'm thinking the pedalboard had a bit to do with it, but it shows that the clean preamp, and power amp orange is using, very clearly reproduces exactly the sound you feed it. No distortion at all cranked up with this pedalboard. Of course this amp is not the same hooked straight in with no pedals. No amp is. Tube or solid state. So if you have any effects with your dirty or clean sound, this amps gonna reproduce exactly whatever sound you run to it. This was the goal to see how loud, and clean it would perform. It was much louder than I could handle up close. You hit the right frequency of notes and it's loud enough to roll your eyes around in your head when hooked up like that if your standing in front of it. I was using a fender strat HSS. My chin hit the floor, and all I could do is stand there across the room looking at this amp head in amazement, saying to myself are you ******* kidding me? Because it was less than half the price I paid for the blackstar heads new, and way out performing them on the cleans. I was shocked that this solid state 100 watt orange amp was just as loud clean, as the blackstar 100 watt was dimed up dirty. Either one of these amps can seriously damage your hearing in a very short time when dimed on stacked 4x12 cabs. Volume levels are very comparable. However the orange way outperforms on the cleans. After hearing this head on my blackstar cabs, I ended up with an extra blackstar 4x12 straight cab for the orange head. It's loud enough with one cab, two cabs are definitely not needed on this thing. 1-16 ohm 4x12 is way more than enough. I'm looking to maybe double the half stack for stereo sound. I have no idea what it sounds like in person on the orange cabs. Just saying. Super impressed with this solid state super crush! Hope this helps somebody out there in making their decision. I spent too much money on those blackstar heads after I heard this amp hooked up and dialed in right! Jam on!

For years I've been an only "tube" kinda guy. The past year I've been playing with solid state amps, and they have come a very long way. This amp kicks it too! Super loud and very great sounding. ZZOUNDS once again comes through with the pay as you play plan. Words can't describe how much I love them and this amp!

This amplifier is exceptionally great. It's not tube but it is the best solid state I ever heard. You can get a lot out of this amp. It is very loud through a 412 cabinet. I have used both tube and solid state. From hiwatt marshall and fender. As well as many solid state amps katana Marshall and more. After playing for about 20 minutes I was completely blown away. The reverb is actually great it's digital but it's useful and not obnoxious. Distortion channel will give you anything from slight overdrive blues to full on Sludge metal. Clean channel can break up into a beautiful distortion as well. Roll back your volume cleans up. Tested this amp with p90s and humbuckers. Takes pedals great and the effects loop is awesome. Very pleased. Financing and payments were easy.

Just recieved my amp today. Thank you zZounds for your excellent service. Amazing is all I can say. Played some nice tube amps before and this thing sounds just as good. The volume on the clean with pedals is LOUD. Rocks the RR, VC or EVH sound easily. Love it!!
