This cab is one of the best I have ever used, I have had line 6, Marshall, vox, peavey. I absolutely love the sound I get out of it! Running a line 6 bogner head, get nice warm sound and also that crunch! This thing get crazy loud with no distortion at all, with what you would aspect from orange and the vintage 30 speakers. Would highly recommend to everyone from death metal to jazz or what ever you play even church music. You won't be disappointed!

This was probably one of the best moves, gearwise, in my life. I have a Marshall 1959slp that I cherish, and was searching for the right cab to do it justice. I ended up with a std 1960a (ok). Then went to a 425a (much better). A friend of mine had scored a 1972 Hiwatt DR103, and needed a cab. I sold him my 425a as a courtesy to a buddy, cause he was stuck without a cab. I bought the Orange and I'm never looking back. Absolutely fantastic from top to bottom. I removed the skids and replaced them with 3 1/2" casters. I think i may have overdone it (adding about 8-10lbs to the total weight of the cab). But when you push it, it rolls like it's on ice, and you've gotta run after it! BEST 4X12 CAB EVER, and I've had them all. Completely balanced tone, incredibly deep, tight bottom end, full, warm, detailed midrange, beautiful singing highs, without a trace of harshness, Built like a brick s**t house. You'll never do better. BUY IT!!

To give you kind of an idea as to where this review is coming from, I play about 85% metal, 10% hard rock, and 5% noodling with other weird genres. This cab sounds phenomenal. The V30 speakers have a delicate top end with perfect voicing for metal and rock tones. The cabinet's construction - super thick birch, railed feet, and a closed back - lend to an enormous bass response. One "insider tip" that you might not see a lot, is about the grill cloth. It's thick and heavy, and it works like kind of a lo pass filter. It screens out a lot of top end fizz and white noise. It helps define your metal and rock tones, making them sound more high def or record ready. They are indeed a bit pricey, but if you play your cards right, and use zZounds price-beating guarantee, you can get away with a new 4x12 for the best price around. Things to look out for: if you're not able to lift 85 lbs, better call a friend. This cab weighs A LOT. But, I'll sacrifice a few extra pounds for superior build quality and sound any day.

I recently purchased an Orange PPC412C cabinet and all I can say is I've never been more happier with a product than this. I've been a diehard Mesa cab user (I still use the heads) but the Orange outshines the Mesa, especially in note clarity, and with the style of music I play (grind/death metal), thats a true testament to the product. The only downside to this, NO WHEELS! I had to buy a dollie to make shows easier.

My holdup was the Vintage 30’s. The most loved, and most hated speaker on the Internet. However, it’s a great sounding cab, perfect for my Rockerverb 50. Sparkly clean to classic Orange gain.

You would expect that a company that has been in business as long as Orange has would realize that on a piece of equipment this size that wheels are a necessity. Instead it had wooden rails to really scuff that. Ice polished oak flooring in your $120,000 studio, also there is no way to securely attach a top cabinet to this unit. Make sure that your amp has good rubber feet on the bottom or at loud levels it will move. It sounds great and is pretty but not for a gigging musician, it's more of a conversation piece and studio cabinet.
