Orange OBC112 Bass Speaker Cabinet (400 Watts, 1x12")

With rear porting and a 400-watt Lavoce Neodymium 12" bass speaker, the OBC112 produces a surprising amount of bottom end despite its modest size.

Purchased with the Little Bass Thing and it is a great, light, cab. Punchy, cutting, strong.I had a cab with an Eminence neo 12" and sold it, didn't like the hollow sound, had to scoop the mids. This cab is not like that, the Lavoce doesn't have that characteristic. With a touch of added bass and a small cut of the highest mids, I have a round, punchy, cutting tone. This cab can produce a lot of sound for the size, after playing 32 years I can carry my bass in one hand and this cab in the other, head in a gig bag on my shoulder, I feel confident I could have covered or surpassed any of the performances I had in all those years with all those amps.My preference is a 1x15" and the OBC115 sounds great, but at 65lbs that's more weight than 2 of these. I think a second OBC112 would fill out the sound, make it lower, but you won't have a problem being heard or felt in most rehearsals or stages with just one, it produces a lot of sound and punch.I only wish there was a Lavoce neodymium OBC115 similar to this cab to cut the weight, and stack the OBC112 on. That combo would vibrate pelvises & rattle ribcages.

"2x OBC 112 cabs and Bugera Veyron amp"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

I was looking for two 12 inch cabs that would deliver tight punchy bass with reasonable depth. I has a Hartke 12 inch high drive, which is impressive but it didn't have enough warmth for me. I considered 2x the new Eden cabs which are cheaper but having read about Lavoice speakers, I took the plunge. I am not disappointed. all controls on the veyron at 12 O'clock and just a little bass boost on my Musicman Stingray 5 and wow, punchy lows and volume that just keeps coming. Early days but so far very happy.

"Light, and LOUD!"

I bought this cabinet because I play a lot of small gigs with a cover band. Overall this is an awesome value of a product, and at 400W at 8ohms it can get pretty loud. I currently use a GK 500W head but want to get a lighter head for less weight. At 25 lbs. it holds up really well at practice....clear crisp tone....I would imagine it would sound phenomenal with a properly paired Orange Terror Bass head, but any Class D amplifier will do.
