I heard some good things about this pedal and decided to pull the trigger. I am so glad that I did. Wether you play blues, ambient, metal, polka, whatever, you need this on your board. It takes your tone and enhances the best parts about it. It fattens your time just enough and when you set it right at the edge of break up it really can’t be beat. NUX is a newer company and I was iffy about purchasing but it really is a phenomenal pedal and a very very good clone. AND it has the silver mode too! 2 amazing copies in 1! Both modes really sound great I can’t stress it enough. I typically use the gold mode for clean tones and if I want my metal tones with just a tad more dirt I’ll kick in the silver mode. I pretty much keep the pedal itself dialed back, but you can get some very good dirt from both modes dare I say Metal tones from the silver mode. This is an amazing pedal for the price and if you’re looking for a good always on overdrive that’s not a one trick pony, look no further. The NUX Horsemen is worth double it’s current price tag.

Maybe I'm just not a Klon guy. But I personally wasn't a huge fan of the how the gain breaks up. On the plus side. Gain all the way down and using it as a boost it was AMAZING for the price. Mainly because it's transparent and I can add the color as I wish. It's staying on my pedal board for that reason. Plus, doesn't take up a lot of real estate.

I play a G&L Asat Classic. Been playing for 15 years and about 1 of those years were professional.
