"Open your eyes, this is a turntable for playing records"
Remember what you buy turntables for. This model has a fold down cover, good arm, solid motor, not really a DJ model. People buy this who want the overall capability of the table. You can change out the cartridge, add a good preamp, and it should last for decades. If it's for professional use, probably go for top line units made for this (without a cover) and dual starts and stops.

I use to be a fan of the Numark TTX1's, so I decided to give these a try. These are not professional analog turntables, however, they are direct-drive. Digital, meaning no ground wire, and no wind down when switching the power off. The units feel plastic, however, for a beginner setup this would be nice for the price.
