"A great controller for DJing"

I use this on a weekly radio show, as well as live gigs. It's a great piece of hardware, light, relatively intuitive (I downloaded the manual for it and read it which helped a lot), and fun. While I'm not a huge fan of the Itch software, it is acceptable and does pretty much what I need. I know people have said the levels are very low. Things I have noticed in regards to this: -Adjust your trim -If you can use an external mixer, do it! -make sure your files are high quality I had debated between this and the Traktor S2. I'm very happy I got the Twitch!

"Amazing Controller, Wrong Release Date"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
First of all, I got this controller which originally had an MSRP of $599 for $99, no tax from Guitar Center as it was a floor model that never even saw the floor or left the box. This unit was released at the same time as the new Native Instruments and Pioneer controllers with a similar price tag but because of name brand loyalty/ignorance, didn't sell well and had an immediate price drop to $399 which is a really good deal for a controller this solid. There isn't much I don't like about the Twitch other than the fact it is designed for Serato, included a Traktor overlay but didn't include any type of MIDI map for the overlay!! Yes, there are plenty on djtt.com and other sites to download and it's not dificult to make your own but you think if the overlay was included, the mappings might be too! I use this unit when I just feel like cutting and chopping beats as the multiple banks of pressure sensitive pads are terrific and a lot of fun. The unit itself is solid and weighs much more than one would think. Big difference picking one of these up and picking up say a Numark MixTrack. The Twitch is solid metal and has tight and responsive knobs, faders and a smooth crossfader. This unit is perfect for the mid-level DJ and up but I wouldn't recommend it for those just starting out as I think it takes away too much of the essence of what it is to DJ versus being a button twister with eyes glued to a laptop screen, not the crowd....just my 2 cents.

First of all, I'm not sure why the bad review from the guy running windows 7 64 bit claiming it doesn't work. My laptop runs windows 7 64 bit, and I was up in running in no time at all. I bought this controller on an impulse because I wanted to try something different. I currently run a Numark NS6 and have played quite a bit on the NS7. This little unit gives you more creative options and is ideal for small gigs or bars where you are normally limited on space. If you are a beginner DJ, then this may take some getting used to.

"Doesn't work as specified by the manufacture! Do not order if using windows 7 64 bit! "

I would have loved the product if it would have worked out. I am spending another 100 dollars to get the Native Instruments S2. I know that it is at least plug and play.
Sound
This product claims to be compatible with windows 7 64 bit. However the drivers are useless. I couldn't get it to work on two different CPU's. I wouldn't know how it sounds since it doesn't perform at all. Novation has serious development to work on with this product.
Features
I liked the layout, however I wouldn't know how well it works.
Ease of Use
This device is so incompatible with PC's its too bad it can't perform to what the manufacture claims it can do.
Quality
looks nice, lot's of features. it seemed well constructed.
Value
no, there are cheaper products that work on PC.
Manufacturer Support
They had to forward my issue to the UK and still couldn't resolve my problem,
The Wow Factor
I think the software and controller have a lot of cool features, but need serious work with PC development.
