I do a lot of livestream and church monitoring in my media room. We used to have people come up there and sit to listen. They would get loud sometimes. So, I decided to get these headphones and am sooo glad I did! The sound quality is SSSOOOOOO GOOD! Plus, since the headphones are closed-backed, I can cut a lot of background noise while listening to the audio feed. These headphones are so good that sometimes I get a little irked because they auditorily show when the choir isn't quite singing in tune. Anyway, yes, they are expensive, but oh so worth it and are also very comfortable for long usage too.

Accuracy in not just frequency response, but wave detail and transients at all ranges. I've never been wowed by overly bright or boomy designs, but these wow me with their accuracy. Very comfortable as closed backs can be. Highest isolation. , like aviation headsets. Beware: 1. you will spend hours listening to stuff after getting these. I have been working in professional audio for decades and these are simply revealing, but not bright or boomy, just clean -- and huge and complex when required, or delicate and simple if needs be -- or both at the same time. 2. Some sources will now seem bad, because these will easily reveal issues in a mix, if such mixes were previously "fine". This includes some well-known music and movie soundtracks. Really rather bizarre how these are totally unforgiving, not imposing their own "sheen" to the signal, but rather giving you what is there. Expensive, but that dissolves in one's mind after listening to them. I'll get another pair.

There is no such thing as "I can't afford it". It is not about finances. It is about desire and obtaining the inspiration that excellence "affords" you. I am keenly aware that the contents of this review may seem to be the invention of marketing however, I assure you, the tremendous elevated standard, that the Neumann NDH-20 headphones delivered, are responsible for the source. And they do DELIVER, in every possible way. From comfort to the cords, from the bank to the box. I will never again allow finances deter me from demanding that I reward myself by insisting that I invest the same level of commitment that I have invested in my music skills and education. It is the indeed the very same ingredient if you do not immediately have the funds. TIME. It took TIME to learn your craft. It may take TIME to $ave. Buying Neumann products is educational in its own right. If you recall anything in this review when you put these on for the first time? Buy Neumann and you will be educated in what audio quality is. Those that have settled for the $40 to $100 pair of "Studio" headphones and the victims of marketing. They will never know what they have missed out on. Not to mention the lost inspiration and lesser production value their ignorance has robbed them of. If you tell yourself you can't afford it? It's a lie. ... Find a way. You will be thrilled you did! I had these for a year, BUT They were used less than twenty hours total. However, Its The BUILD QUALITY That SHOCKED Me! Neumann Utterly Failed at making sure the ear pads ($50) Replacement Cost) Were constructed with dependably and reasonable manufacturing. With less than twenty hours of use while the headsets sat in an office chair, the SEAMS On The EAR PADS Literally Dry Rotted or Just Completely Came Unglued or ....I dont know how to explain "fell apart" or detached from the padded material - IM FURIOUS! This experience has diminished any and all plans to ever buy a Neumann product of any kind. And Yes, I am aware of their reputation - but this experience cant be explained away.

Headsets are BEAUTIFUL! Impressive Sound and Even the BOX! I bought these in 2019 They Sat On The Back Of My Chair In The Studio Build Process THE ENTIRE FOUR YEARS!!! Used THREE TIMES for VERY Short Periods Of Time. This Was While I Was Buying My Studio Equipment ONE PIECE AT A TIME in Cash. I Began Using Them This Week For The VERY FIRST TIME. Total Use In One Week 40 HOURS MAX. The Fabric On The Ear Covering On The LEFT Side Literally Began RIPPING At The STITCHING From Around The Outer Foam Piece That Makes Contact With Your Ear/Head. The RIGHT Side Has BEGUN Its TEARING About Two Inches Wide. SAME PLACE Where The Stitching Meats The Black Fabic. SO THE HEADSETS ARE TRASH FOR THAT KIND OF MONEY and During The VERY FIRST WEEK OF REAL USE!!! USELESS UNATTRACTIVE TRASH! Its As If They Dry Rotted! But While Kept In A EMPTY Bedroom. Total Use 45 Hours TOPS! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.
