At first I wasnt sure if I wanted to go with weighted base stand but when I stepped on and broke the leg of one of my Tripod Stands I decided I didnt want to deal with that anymore.. I love how these stack, are not crazy heavy and I have not had any issues with needing to adjust the stand during the show.. I'm one of those singers who constantly is putting his hands on the mic with it on the stand and almost hanging on it and it never slips ever. I am extremely happy with these stands and would recommend these over tripod stands any day.
