"TSL truth, from an owner"
There are a few good amps at around the 1000 pound mark at the moment, but you always end up trying to get a Marshall sound out of them. This costs a lot less and has a great classic rock sound. It will cover any gig.
Sound
Great Marshall sounds. The clean channel is clean enough for a rock guitarist, the crunch channel is as good as it gets and the solo channel screams. This amp will ALWAYS cut through the mix live and with a 4x12 extension looks great as well
Features
If only there were separate eqs for crunc and lead, it would be perfect. It has to be said that with sounds this good, ir doesn't matter that much.
Ease of Use
You can't get a bad sound from a Marshall.
Quality
Perhaps not up to Mesa standards, but a hell of a lot cheaper. I'm not a hairdresser, so the finish is fine for me.
Value
As good as many amps costing twice the price and better than some as well
Manufacturer Support
Fantastic, have called them a few times and they can answer anything.
The Wow Factor
Black and gold, iconic.

"Best Marshall sound for the money"
I have to say that the TSL 60 head through a Marshall 1960A 4x12 loaded with the stock speakers sounds quite simply, brilliant, I play a Gibson Les Paul studio through it. Some people say that the OD sounds a bit fizzy, not to me, OD sounds great to my ears, OD1 has enough crunch for any rock/punk band and OD 2 well, to my ears it'll cover most metal, only downside is the switching from clean to OD which has a bit of noise but to me its nothing serious. Dont let the 60 watts put you off, this thing is loud, I play in a punk with a second guitarist who plays through a Mode 4 and a drummer who batters the drums to death and it easily keeps up with them (master volume 6 or 7), at that volume, thats where marshall valve heads come into their own, fully saturated tubes and tone still crystal. I'm more than happy with this amp and have gigged with it and folk have commented on how good a guitar sound I have, one tip though is to jumper the fx Loop (it's parallel) that'll give more volume which I use as a lead boost, take the leap you won't be disappointed
Musical Background:
I have been playing in bands for close on 25 years

I play punk rock

"Underrated Sleeper Amp, get em cheap while you can!"
Found this “Made in the UK” Marshall amp for $450. It was a deal that I couldn’t pass up. Brought it home and was delighted by what I heard. It’s a 3 channel TSL 60. The clean channel was VERY nice, although I don’t use that channel very much. I ran a generic clone OD pedal through the crunch and sounded excellent, ran the same pedal in the Lead channel and it was pure hi gain bliss. I play black metal and this amp is perfect for this particular music. It can pull off some killer death metal tones as well. It’s a very versatile amp… You can get Angus Young tones out of the crunch channel alone. Run an OD through the crunch and lead and you’re in the zone… I found this particular amp for $450. And for a “Made in the UK” Marshall JCM 2000 TSL 60, I don’t think that’s a bad deal. Perfect economic option in today’s market of inflation. Don’t believe the hype on what you hear about these amps. I read a lot of negative reviews online and alot of complaints about this amp, and that only peaked my interest more. It takes a little while to figure out the knobs and the channel switching, but this amp puts you in the ballpark before you even dial in your tone. Play it for yourself, I was very impressed… A lot of bang for my Buck… I even used it in a live setting, in a rehearsal with a loud drummer and bass player… It passed the test!
Sound
The sound of this amps perfectly suits the nature of my playing style (Extreme/Black Metal). I was able to dial in my tone rather quickly on this amp.
Features
Many options to use on this amp. I have 3 separate channels at my finger tips in the studio WITH a D.I. option as well. I see this amp being utilized in different genres. You can get Cannibal Corpse, Darkthrone, AC/DC, and Pink Floyd all in this one amp… Excellent cleans as well!
Ease of Use
I was able to dial in a usable tone rather quickly… I just ran a generic OD pedal through the Crunch or Lead channel… I also ran a Dan Electro EQ, with a Behringer Vintage Delay. Nailed a classic black metal tone quite easily
Quality
This amp must have some years on it, it’s in very good shape. The amp is stout and it’s a Marshall. It is studio kept and I’m pretty sure it will last a while… Very confident on the amp build.
Value
Picked this amp up for $450 U.S. i believe this amp is VERY capable and versatile. A very good economic option in today’s current market.
Manufacturer Support
I haven’t had to reach out to Marshall about this amp yet, but I know there is a ton of info online about these amps. User and Tech Manuals and the like. So far, Marshall tech support hasn’t been needed…
The Wow Factor
I wanted to get my hands on this amp after hearing all the negative reviews… I accepted it as a challenge for me to achieve my tone in any setting (different amps). I usually play a JCM 800 for my “go to” black metal tone. I had a hard time believing all the negative reviews on the TSL60. I wanted to try one for myself… I plugged in, and I haven’t looked back… it’s an excellent amp to have on hand and I don’t plan on selling it any time soon (I rarely sell my gear anyways, haha)

"Marshall JCM2000 TSL60 Head - Awesome amp."
This amp is a dream come true. I wanted this very amp since it came out and i played it in the shop a few years ago. Now I own it. Ahhhhhh.
Sound
Only the seperate EQ would have added to this amp. It sounds dreamy with my Epiphone Les Paul, with Seymour pups. I tell ya. I am SOOOOO glad I bought this beauty. I run it via a 1936 Lead 2x12" cab. Enough bass and top end to keep it fat and clear.
Features
Again, just teh lack of a seperate EQ for the crunch and Lead channels but in all honesty, it's not that big a deal. When cranked up, they all sound clear and loud!
Quality
I can beat this thing with a hammer and it still kicks ass.
Value
I bought this head for 300 quid off of a friend. Cant go wrong. The thing was still in warranty and he had only used it about 10 times. This meant the tubes were still hot as hell. Sounded great from day one.
Manufacturer Support
I have called Marshall for various reasons and have always had brilliant support from the support teams. They are friendly and know what they are talking about :)
The Wow Factor
Well, come on. It's an almost top of the range Marshall all valve. Need I say more?
