The tonal characteristics are balanced and punchy. The 70/80 speakers perform best with a tighter signal and scooped mids. But they have great range and sound good no matter what I play. I am extremely impressed with both the clean and overdriven sounds the speakers can deliver. The cab has the classic/retro look that is very appealing. It also features a slight upward bend which helps get the sound up off the floor. Using the matching 20W Origin head, the cab really comes to life. It handles the amp's cleans and overdrive with ease. Pedals also sound great. Additionally, I experimented with the cabinet, using a 30 watt baby bomb power amp and a mooer preamp. Wow! It handled the tighter signal like a champ! And will get as loud as you need it to be. The only negative is the cab's weight. It's a heavy dude. But totally doable to lug around. I also saw where some people dislike the 70/80 speakers. Don't really get their criticism. But you might want to listen to speaker sound samples on YT before buying. Overall, this is a great speaker cab. It matches up perfectly with the Origin head, but also handles other power amps with ease. Highly recommend!
