Never had a Marshall but this one was affordable and after playing it I'll be buying Marshall. Great sound. You get thundering distortion.
Sound
I've play on Peavey and Crate and as far as sound this beats them both especially the distortion is heavy and has alot of punch. Work the effects in and get hundreds of sound.
Features
All the features you want for all types of music. Didn't get a footswitch but ordered one off zZounds for $29.99.
Ease of Use
Simple to use.
Quality
Haven't had it long but seems to be well built.
Value
Compared to similar amps with the same features, I'd take this for the sound alone. It's my first Marshall but won't be my last.
Manufacturer Support
Have not used any support.

"Great Amp! Bottom line. Looking for something to jam on, this is the amp you need to buy. It's perfect."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

I won't be looking for anything else. This amp is all I need. I have a Fender Strat, and a digitech pedal. With this amp, and me living in an apartment, this is all I need.
Sound
This is by far the best practice amp I have ever used. The sound is as clean as it gets!
Features
Very good tone adjustments. You really don't need a sound pedal except for convenience.
Ease of Use
Very easy to use.
Quality
Marshall puts out great products. There's a reason they are one of the most utilized amplifiers.
Value
For 200 bucks, you cannot beat this amp. Plenty of volume, and the sound quality is grade A.
Manufacturer Support
If you have a question, their customer support is top notch.
The Wow Factor
It's got a 10" speaker so the cabinet fits in my room nicely. Doesn't look tiny, but doesn't look too big.

"Marshall MG isn't as bad as everyone says!!"

I think this amp is you can get for the price. I mean ya its not as good as the million dollar marshalls but you only paying 200 bucks. I love the sound compared to the spider line 6 line. It isn't as loud though.

Great for practicing in your bedroom or in a band, but once I get enough money I am planning on upgrading to a Marshall Haxe 40.
Sound
I thought the sound quality was very good for a solid-state amp and for the price. Especially after comparing it with the Line 6 Spider 4 series, it sounds much better except not as loud.
Features
Being able to store presets is great.
Ease of Use
Very easy to use and set up.
Quality
Seems like it will last a long time.
Value
Great for the price.
Manufacturer Support
I acctually had to return the first one I got and they were very helpful.

I've already owned one and sold it, and I must say that this amp (as I stated earlier) was nothing short of a disappointment. As I understand, the "MG" series of amps were much like that, I don't know.
Sound
This is a great practice amp however, don't expect much more than that. You'll be disappointed. The clean channel does what it supposed to do, you turn it up all the way, and there's plenty of headroom. The distortion channel, well you have to work with it to get the sound you want. Wait a minute...,I thought this amp was a 30 watt amp! Weak!
Features
Solid state, the effects are decent (delay, flanger, chorus, and reverb), but you can only use one effect at a time. No footswitch. But most folks may know this anyway.
Ease of Use
Easy to use, like anything you have to tweek here and there, but the sound is decent. I play clean most of the time, so I won't comment on the distortion characteristics.
Quality
It's foreign made in China (at least mine was.), so it's as good as it gets. Well....,it looks like a Marshall, but it's not.
Value
A little on the high side. If you want to try one I suggest get a used one.
Manufacturer Support
Never had to use them. Didn't even have it that long.
The Wow Factor
Not hardly.
