Everything about this amp is awesome except for the speakers. This thing would sound killer if you put some decent speakers in it. Looks are awesome sound is awesome and the price is too. Big sound from a small affordable package.
Sound
This Amp sounds awesome for solid state. Definitely the best tones I have heard without tubes. Only reason for an 9 is because of the speakers. The speakers on this amp suck, but that is expected and is also a quick fix. I hooked this thing up to my b-52 at-412 cab and it sounded almost as good as my 120 watt blue voodoo head. Not as loud of course. It does buzz a little loudly with the gain past about 3/4 of the way, but once again expected.
Features
NO FOOTSWITCH! Thats the only thing its missing.
Ease of Use
Very easy and straight forward.
Quality
Its a marshall and they do back their products. It is good quality except for the speakers.
Value
Its limited edition and is justan awesome little amp.
Manufacturer Support
have not dealt with them.

I will play this thing into the ground. If it tears up I will fix it. If unfixable, I will replace it. This isn't my performace amp, but I still play the crap out of it(so much easier that lugging around my two full stacks).
Sound
What can I say except wow. Pulled this thing out of the box, plugged it in and rocked. It sounds like an amp twice its size. After playing with the controls a little I was able to create amazing AC/DC sounds and a Black Sabbath feel that Ozzy himself would be proud of. Although it seems like I cannot get the low end to fall off(thus resulting in highs that seem less bright) it is still a great sound.
Features
Marshall failed a little here. A book with an intro from Jim in several languages! A Zakk setting suggestion sheet.....with a total of 4 presets! WOW!!!! The supplied cables are a little thin, I recommend heavier cables.
Ease of Use
Plug it in and play! The only trouble I have is I use a mulit-effects pedal and some of my effects are overpowered by the amps settings (even on clean).
Quality
It may have the Marshall name; however, it is just cheap plastic. On the plus side it is a lot lighter that a well constructed amp!
Value
For the price you cannot beat this. It has monster sounds that I havent been able to find in combos or stack 2-3 times the price and size. I will not be taking this thing on stage anytime soon, but for in the studio or just banging around in the garage, this thing absolutly rings your ears!
Manufacturer Support
I am just guessing here. Never used them, but you don't make the best amps without having good support.
The Wow Factor
I think the new will wear off soon for me, but anyone who sees it is instantly impressed with the design and the Zakk bullseyes. Plus it says MARSHALL all over it!!!!!

I'm glad I have it. But I WOULDNT REPLACE IT.
Sound
It sounds ok but it's alot more responsive with some pedals in front of it. Has a nice clean but distortion is a little weak. But it is very loud.
Features
There were some picks and a poster included in the package. The reverb didn't seem to make any difference in the sound of the amp.
Ease of Use
Very easy to use cosidering there aren't many features.
Quality
I can say it's extremely well made. I've had it for a little over 2 years and it's stills stands strong. It's a beatiful amp. Looks are the best thing about it.
Value
Well I think it could have been a little cheaper compared to what's out there. I paid 349.00 for it.
Manufacturer Support
none

I will keep this amp probably for ever just cause it looks so cool but I will be saving for the Krank Rev. Jr. C'mon Zzounds get these in and sell me one.
Sound
Sounds O.K. The distortion channel is pretty good but your better off using pedals. I also bought the ashdown all access 20 watt mini stack with two 8" and it is louder and the cleen w/pedals sounds just as good at $150 here at zzounds its a better deal.
Features
I like the contour and fdd, nice reverb
Ease of Use
easy to use and get a decent sound.
Quality
The old lead 12 seems bettermade and uses celestion, these are cheepo speakes. made in Vietnam? W.T.F?
Value
Between this and the mg15ms the only diffrences are cosmetic.
Manufacturer Support
no need to deal with them yet but with a 5 year warrenty i am shure they will be hearing from me.
The Wow Factor
This thing is probably the best looking micro stack I have ever seen.

"Zack Wylde mini stack"
i have both the Zack Wylde & the Dave Mustaine Megastack the first thing i did was replace the speakers with WGS Warehouse Guitar Speakers a drop in replacement for Celestion greenbacks or Eminnence Ragin Cajun this brought both from the realm of novelty to a seriuos contender in practice or small gig i now like them alot
Musical Background:
i have been playing guitar for 40 yrs i play for my own enjoyment & charitable gigs

i like to play blues rockabilly classic rock & a smattering of pop & country

"Looks good, but pricey"
For the money you can do much better. The speakers are cheap and made in Vietnam. The tone isn't JMC quality, but will keep me happy. No way I can practice full band with this thing without taking the line out into the PA, but I can bet you that if I crank it up by itself my neighbors won't be happy.
Sound
Sounds like all the other amps in the MG series. Even though the speakers are cheap, if you use this amp direct into a PA, it's like having any other MG series amp. You wouldn't believe this thing is even on if you have a loud drummer, but plug it into the PA and you can rock for real!
Features
2 channels is a plus. The FDD switch gives you that punch needed for palm muting crunch. I love the contour knob, its the secret to the tone in this amp. Reverb leaves a lot to be desired. THIS THING NEEDS A FOOTSWITCH OPTION!
Ease of Use
If you've used more than one amp in your life, then this thing will be a breeze.
Quality
Cheap speakers. The rest of the overall quality is pretty solid.
Value
You can do a whole lot better for the price. I got mine almost brand new for $75. No way I would pay what they are asking for it.
Manufacturer Support
Never had to talk to them
The Wow Factor
Are you kidding me? This is the cutest little thing I've ever seen. It's so compact and makes a great practice amp.

"OK if you've never owned a decent amp."
Verified Purchaser
zZounds has verified that this reviewer purchased this specific product from us.
I sold it on craigslist the day after I got it. Happy to get most of my money back.
If you want a good low priced solid state Marshall, pick up one of the old Lead series amps from the 80's. I have a 1984 Lead 20 and it blows this thing out of the water, made in England with real Celestion speaker and costs a lot less.
Sound
Clean sound is very generic, but you dont buy this amp for cleans. The distortion is mediocre. VERY muffled sounding, just no real tone.. I dont see what the fuss is about.
Features
Does everything you need it to. I like simple amps without on board effects. I would like to see a footswitch option.
Ease of Use
Very simple to use.
Quality
Very dissapointed after getting this thing. Its a low quality practice amp. It looks awesome, but its just a novelty.. dont confuse this with a real amplifier. Made in Vietnam with generic speakers. Its made pretty well. The piping was not glued on very well in a few places.
Value
You can do MUCH better for the money.
Manufacturer Support
Dont know... never had to deal with Marshall. They do make a reliable product, I've never had a problem with one.
The Wow Factor
I got lured in by the awesome looks.. it does look the part.

"Reloaded with Celestion 10" 16ohm Greenbacks"
Verified Purchaser
zZounds has verified that this reviewer purchased this specific product from us.
expaect I will be satisfied with this purchase for years to come.
Sound
Awesome sound out of a small amp, I use it in coffee shops and small venues. I play my Taylor 414ce Acoustic through it along with my Electric guitars and they all sound awesome. I replaced the original (Vietnamese made) speakers with Celestion 10" 16 ohm greenbacks to give it a better marshall sound.
Features
Great reverb and distortion
Ease of Use
Lightweight, easy to set up
Quality
Usual High Maeshall quality
Value
Best price anywhere, it was 40 bucks cheaper through Zzounds..
Manufacturer Support
Asked marshall what the ohm the speakers were and they got back to me within 48 hours...
The Wow Factor
LOve the looks of the gold plated Marshall Logos and the gold piping around the speakr cabs and the material covering the speakers is awesome looking compared to the standard black stuff.

"Great amp, bad speakers."
I am throughly disgusted with the horrible speakers. Yes, they are THAT bad. Replace the speakers with good quality Celestions and this little baby is a keeper.
Sound
The speakers are absolute crap. I bought it advertised as containing Celestion speakers, but discovered them to be very cheaply made, completely unsuitable for the Marshall name Vietnamese-made speakers. Upon contacting Marshall, I was told they are Celestion 'voiced'. Yeah, right.
Features
A foot switch option would certainly help out here. I very much enjoy the FDD switch. The reverb is surprisingly very effective. As well, the contour is excellent. The overdrive channel leaves something to be desired - I rarely use it. The clean is very good and works well with pedals.
Ease of Use
It is a simple interface. Use that contour!
Quality
Other than the garbage speakers, the amp and cabs are well made. I believe that if not horribly abused, this will last a long while. However, I don't think the speakers would last long. Replace those with excellent quality speakers and this thing might last longer than you might expect.
Value
No, this is not worth the typical selling price because of the speakers.
Manufacturer Support
I had no problems in my contact with Marshall. I was not pleased with the explanation given as to the speakers.
The Wow Factor
The main selling point of this is the looks, name (of course) and Zakk's endorsement. It does look really nice

"Best looks, best sound, best price, BUY IT!"
I expect to use this product untill I finally get in a band and need to play over drums and Bass. But this amp is great for practice, or just jammin' with friends. You need a bit more for gigs though
Sound
This is the best sounding amp that i've ever played, but then again Zakk Wylde designed it! This amp is Very loud, and it is actually 45 watts. This amp SCREAMS!
Features
Everything's great! The only downside is no footswitch.
Ease of Use
Uhhhh... This is a Marshall. You get great sounds no matter what you do. This is great!
Quality
Everything seems to be of extremely high quality. I hope that I will play this amp for years!
Value
This product is worth every cent! The sound is AMAZING for the price. Buy one before they're gone, because they're Limited Edition.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't had to talk to them yet, but that just means that everything works fine!
The Wow Factor
