I'm extremely happy with this amp. With a little tweaking, you can make the built in presets (100) sound just like you want them to. To be honest, some of the presets have no practical use for a gigging musician, but on flip side, some of them are outstanding and you can download user created presets (and some of them are really nice) from MyMarshall. The drawback is the 10" speaker. I'm considering trading it in for the CODE 50 to get a bit more power and speaker paper. Fortunately i have not had the blue tooth issue that others have had. i would suggest to them to tell your phone to "forget this device" and re-initiate the blue tooth process. It works flawlessly every time. the is a 5 star amp in a 4 star body.

"Very Surprising Little Amplifier"

I have a number of amps all for different so I can cover any situation. I haven't ever bought a non-tube amplifier. I ordered the Marshall CODE25 to put under a table in my guitar workshop to use for tuning and testing after I complete work on guitars. Well I moved it out from under table and I use exclusively in my home and for practice. The sound and tone i get from this little gem is fantastic. I have my JCM800 Marshall or my Fender Blues Delux when I play out but for Home and practice you can't go wrong. Even just the 25 watt's gives me a large range and I don't get drowned out by any of my band mates. I bought with a Pedal so I can shift but no after working with it I have a standard setting I don't change and love the sound. I also use for my Acoustics's. Really brings out the chime from the strings. Can't go wrong for the price..

The Marshall Code 25 has so many features and tones it makes playing fun all over again. You can set a nice rich thick tone and thin it out when you want. So many settings to tweak and tailor to my liking. Some may not find the length of settings to their liking and crave something more straight forward. I like having all the settings.

Really had high hopes. For those of you that want to play this low, without earphones and without getting kicked out of your apartment - there is a problem with the master volume, there is no in between barely audible and too loud. If you go to my marshall gateway, you'll see a lot of other customers have the same problem. Supposedly there will eventually be a firmware fix for this issue - should have figured that out ahead of time.

You've already read the specs above and you're wondering how can all of this be available for just under two bills inclusive of free shipping. Hard to believe isn't it. I wondered the same thing until I got it in the door yesterday. Yes, this is an early opinion. What about the 100 pre-sets? They are there but there are many "variation on a theme" pre-sets. ie. classic American sound, classic American Sound with Reverb, classic American sound with tremelo etc. To be sure, different sounds but not 100 totally unique sounds to play with. Nuff said. What about the Blue Tooth hook up to your iphone? I had to fiddle with this quite a bit before it actually worked with my iphone. My Ipad picked it right up. But it pays to get your phone working with it since this affords you the luxury of not having to bend over and squint when changing pre-sets and effects via the knobs on the amp itself....The entire amp can be redundantly controlled with the free App. That's a beautiful thing. There's even a tuner on the App. It's going to take me a bit of study to understand just what makes up the sound chain but the downloadable manual has lots of info on that subject. You'll want to get that in your hands if you buy the amp. To my ears, (and I own half a dozen smallish amps) the Code 25 delivers what it promises but sounds like a small amp. More so than my Fender Super Champ. But the sounds generated are truly reflective of what they are supposed to be, particularly the clean tones, of which there are plenty. The airiness of a larger amp just isn't there so don't expect it to be and you won't be disappointed. For my money this is a beautifully designed practice/small gig amp that has endless tone creation possibilities. It's priced well below what one might expect and in my early opinion,is worth every penny. Likely I will bond even more with it over the next few weeks. Oh, it's extremely light weight and very compact; a breeze to move around. That's how I like my amps as I'm a stay at home guitarist. BTW....hats off to zZounds. The Code 25 was delivered in less than 24 hours via Saturday Fedex when only 2 day delivery was promised. (Jersey to Connecticut) They are exceptional at customer service.

One week into it.... The amp tones are wonderful and it is sounding more and more like a "big amp"....even though it transports like a small one....But alas, Blue Tooth connection on my iPhone6 is intermittent at best. Most times it won't hold a connection. Fortunately, my Ipad mini does connect most of the time and holds the connection. That aside, it's still hard to fathom how Marshall made this amp possible for $199. I'm guessing the fact that it is assembled in Viet Nam keeps the labor costs way down and we benefit.....Only one star deducted for iphone issues.....but the tones can be doctored via the onboard controls, just not as easily as on my iPad.....Still a keeper.....
