"The modern chest pounding original"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
You can't go wrong with these if you are looking for a cab that provides chest pounding mids.
Sound
This model with Celestion GT-75 speakers ( as opposed the the 'vintage' model with Celestion V30's ) IMO sounds the best overall especially if you want the angled cab version. I GT-75's are less pronounced in the high end so it tends to smooth out or sweeten the high end of tube amps.. the speaker also provides more dampening so while is has a stiffer tone it really holds tone togather and is nice an punchy.. less prone to overextending and for me is easier to listen to for longer periods of time. This model is also better for the angled cab where you will be getting more highs projected from the center of the cone.. these angled cabs don't have less bass responce it it just a more balanced response with direct and indirect speaker waves reaching your ear. Marshall abs are on the thinner side of some modern day cabs ( mesa's, Randall, Diamond cabs have been my experience ). So are not the most bass oriented cabs but the Marshall have that great mid punch to the chest which is what I really like.
Features
I give this an 8.. the castors sockets are basically plastic. Corners are plastic, jack plates are plastic so are not super durable features.. cab is wired for stereo .. which is a plus. I love the black elephant covering .. but the covering does tend to get tacky when warm which causes it to really catch and tear if bumped into things.. but it is so classic ... I sholdn't complain about the tolex, I wouldn't want it any other way... like complaining that a stunningly beautiful girl is spoiled.
Ease of Use
Good.. not a crazy heavy cabinet.. nice balance placement of the side handles.
Quality
See my feature comments.. not the epitomy of ruggedness but it is the standard.
Value
compared to everything else.. this cab with GT-75's is a good deal
Manufacturer Support
No experience
The Wow Factor
People either love these cabs or hate them ... It is the modern original 4x12. Even worn and abused these cabs hold their value, sometimes adding to it.... Other cabs worn and abused don't ... that says something.

"A solid cab although not fantastic (only good) sounding"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
This is overall a very solid guitar cabinet. It will hold up to years of abuse well and has a pretty good sound. However, if you have extra money, there are cabs out there that sound substantially better.
Sound
This is a good sounding cabinet. It will work reasonably well with any style. The speakers in this are the Celestion G12T-75s. They are fine speakers but not extraordinary, with a somewhat "flat" sound and not much breakup. There are much better sounding speakers out there, such as the higher end Celestions, but they are more expensive.
Features
The cab has all the features you would expect. You can select between 4 or 16 ohms mono or 8 ohms stereo operation.
Ease of Use
Plug it in and play; it is as easy as can be.
Quality
This is probably the strongest feature of this cabinet. The build quality is very high, from the tolex finish to the grill cloth to the handholds. Everything is designed to hold up to years of touring abuse. One minor problem I have noticed on these cabs is that the plastic input jack plate on the back tends to crack from the screws holding it in after a few years. Putting some washers between the screw heads and the plate will solve this problem.
Value
This product is a good value if you consider how many years of service you are going to get from it. However, you are paying somewhat for the Marshall name.
The Wow Factor
This is the classic Marshall cab. Combine it with a Marshall head and you've got the same look as many of the classic greats.

"Good for an hour or so."

Overall: 1.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

I'm not satisfied and I'll definitely try to avoid Marshall cabs from now on, there's gotta be a better option out there, that other option probably costs less too.
Sound
The sound with my Peavey Standard 260 was amazing. . .until about an hour into practice the high notes started fizzling or barely registering. For a cab so expensive you'd expect it to last a lifetime.
Features
Comes with wheels and a short cable to connect your head unit, nothing special.
Ease of Use
Plug in and play, how easy is that?
Quality
I'll give a 2 here instead of a 1, only because it sounded so great for an hour or two. Like I mentioned earlier, after a short while the G,B, & high E strings sounded like crap.
Value
Value is not great since it will leave you looking for a new cab after only a little bit of playing. . .at least my experience did.
Manufacturer Support
Never contacted because I returned it.
The Wow Factor
It says Marshall on it, so everyone wants it.

"Stands alone, without peer.....legendary."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
You know, my first half stack was a Marshall, and since then, i've tried Everything else, including the very expensive stuff, but the ones that have made me sound the best were the Marshalls. Every body will comment and say, that amp sounds great@!@!! and I say thanks.
Sound
sounds amazing, like it was made for any style music you could throw at it. Responds to a Marshall head, or any other with amazing clarity, and brilliance. You WILL NOT find a better cabinet, I know, because I've tried all of 'em.
Features
Well, it does what they say it should, what else is there for it to do?? It's loud, durable, made extremely well, none others are better than the Marshalls. --that means all you other guys. Marshall's been doing these things for over 35 years, c'mon guys, I think they got it down pretty well.!! The finger locking joints, all the elephant black vinyl, the gold logo , it's just the stuff!!
Ease of Use
Yea, plug it in, and you get what your looking for, amazing tone and no compromises- none.
Quality
These things are the bomb. what I mean is, you can't really compare a Marshall cabinet to anything else, because nothing else even comes close to 'em. They are just made to perform, and out perform everything else.
Value
so here's the big catch, there's an old saying; you get what you pay for. and this is certainly the case with Marshalls. enough said, you want to sound good, and have awesome tone,
Manufacturer Support
You know ,, I can't even comment on that one, because my stuff never broke down.
The Wow Factor
None of 'em even come close, ....gold , black , and white emblem.. you always can tell when a guy in a band is using a Marshall, he looks the best!!
