Bought one of these from zZounds after playing a used one in a shop. I’ve been blessed to own several very nice guitars including Gibsons, and other Martins. This is by no means a cheap guitar but when I pulled it out of the case the first time, It felt like I should have paid $5000 for it. If I had shelled out 5k, it would have been worth it. Incredible projection, highly responsive, and versatile. This guitar sounds like it was built for finger-style, but also sounds like it was made to be dug into and strummed. If you’re reading this review, believe me, pay the money and have zZounds send you one. You will never regret it.

I admit to having a well developed fetish for small body Martins. I never thought anything would be better than a standard 00-18. I was wrong. The look, the materials, the finish are the best I have seen in a small body Martin of recent vintage. Others have said it--it is kind of a reissue of a golden era Martin that never existed. The slope shoulder body shape and Adirondack spruce top combine for a sound that is true Martin but unique from other 00 guitars. The base to treble balance is better than my 50's 00-18. The 'burst finish and ebony on the fingerboard AND headstock give a very classic look.
