I have the D-28 which is a terrific iconic guitar but sometimes I like to play on the couch or bed and that's where the OM-28 shines over the big dreadnaught. It's easy to hold and play in awkward settings such as the couch or recliner. You just can't beat the sound of a Martin acoustic guitar.

Musical Background:

I mainly play at home these days.

Musical Style:

The OM-28 is a good strummer, finger picker, and flat picker.

"redesigned Martin OM-28"

I prefer its predecessor. The earlier OM had a nice beefy V-style neck, perfect for fingerstyle playing, it had excellent wide string spacing, ivoried binding to resemble the original ivory and open back Waverly tuners. Fortunately, I still have mine and I would not sell it or trade it for anything. I believe Maritn should have left this model alone to be more of a reproduction of the original OM-28.
