The Theremini is NOT a true theremin, it's a digital representation of a theremin. This is actually WAY better for beginners:1) You have the option to set it to the key/scale you want to "Auto-tune" the instrument. Real theremins require a LOT of practice to get a passable melody. I was riffing with this thing in a couple hours.2) There are extra tone options, so you aren't stuck with the classic 50's "sci-fi" sound.3) 1/8" inch Headphone Jack so you don't annoy roommates/neighbors.4) Once you get good, you can wean yourself off the "Autotune" (which you can blend out with a dial, not an on/off switch)5) It has a built in speaker and a line out for home or gigging.6) It looks like a cool space egg, and is an AMAZING conversation piece.
