"Moog Grandmother is an amazing synth!"

This synth really is awesome and has so many sonic capabilities. I typically control notes and tempo via midi through my DAW (as master) since I am not a great keyboard player (yet!) plus it gives me a wider range of notes to experiment with. Creating interesting and usable sounds have been insanely fun and really puts me in a trance sometimes when I dim the lights and get in the zone. Low or high frequencies sounds very pure and clean. The spring reverb is nice, but for the sounds I like to make I have been using Eventide Space and TimeFactor pedals with the Grandmother and I just love everything that comes out of this synth. It's pretty much impossible to make a bad sound. One of my best musical purchases in a while.

Wow! What a refreshing surprise from Moog! Other companies have copied/imitated their products. They just make something really extraordinary. This is my favorite of all the synth currently on the market. Making it fun to create your own sounds. Well Done!

This is not my first synth by a long shot (that was the Juno-106 in 84), and included some heavy hitters such as the Kurzweil K2500 and the Korg Triton. This is my first *monosynth* since playing with Berklee's Arp Oddesey's back in the 70s, and it's the first synth I've owned that's really fun to play! Despite (or perhaps because of?) limited parameters and no saving presets, I twiddle knobs, plug patch cords, build sequences, and more. I dusted off my old Roland GR-09 and I'm having a blast with setting up the arpeggiator with that combo. I run it all through a stereo DDL, then use verbs and other plugins in Logic, and having an onboard spring reverb is just the icing on the cake. Having it semi-modular, geared to Eurorack standards, is now making me look at expanding things in that direction...the cherry on top of the icing. If you think it sounds like I'm taken with this keyboard, you'd be right. Great price, great value, great sounds, great fun. If you're at all inclined towards this sort of tool, get it.

Just received the Moog Grandmother yesterday, super happy to get at a great price from Zzounds. Overall a great synth and it has the characteristics of earlier Moog’s. It is very easy to use and setup with great classic sounds, this is an excellent addition to my setup. Thank you Zzounds for making it available at a great price.
