"Great value I/O soundcard."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Works great, and I would recommend it to others small studio users.
Sound
Solid quality sound.
Features
It would be nice to have higher than 2 inputs when set to 192/24bit.
Ease of Use
I little confusing at first, and a poorly written manual doesn't help. But, it doesn't take too long to figure it out.
Quality
Case is made of thick medal, so a plus there. But TRS internals are plastic connected to the circuit board making them delicate.
Value
Purchased for $200 so I think its a great deal for the money.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't used their support, but thats a good thing that I've never needed it.

"At $190 its great - Firewire is better than USB 1.1, but for simple setups, you cannot beat this price."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
USB 1.1 is getting pushed aside due to speedy Firewire. But at $190 it's still fantastic.
Sound
Excellent Sound Quality. The sound image on this device is slightly better than on my Delta 44 and 66. It must have newer parts than the PCI cards.
Features
This is almost an Omni I/O mixer and Quattro 4x4 USB interface in one 7/8 rack space. All your mixing is done on the front panel so routing is not as flexible as the Delta PCI software mixer. You do get 14 inputs and 10 outputs. Software sees 4 inputs and four outptus. 1x1 Midi I/O. It could be your all-in-one interface.
Quality
It's build quality is like a lot of computer stuff these days, it's metal but not exactly a tank. The knobs aren't as tough as the knobs on the DUO or Omni I/O. Thin cheap plastic knobs on this device. It seems reliable though.
Value
At $190, you really can't beat it.
Manufacturer Support
Customer Support isn't that great. They sometimes don't answer questions. Sometimes they'll ask questions you've already answered in the preliminary questionare.
The Wow Factor
I wish it were smaller. It is marketed as a mobile device after all.

"DO NOT BUY!!!!"

Overall: 1.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I would not recommend this product. I heard all the warnings about usb audio and paid them no heed so shame on me. Crashes are common and sometimes software suddenly just does not recognise the machine- which can be a nightmare in the middle of a recording session.
Sound
sound is clean, if you can get that far....
Features
It trys to do to much. It atually has 4 ins and 4outs that work as stereo pairs.... keyword pairs- that ,means you can only ever route 2 instruments into your recorder at a time.
Quality
It is sturdy and well built. It tends to heat up quickly though.
Value
I bought it for $350 which was a mark down from the rrp. However, having used it, I can see why m-audio had to mark it down, no one would buy it otherwise!
Manufacturer Support
did not use any support. I just want to get rid of it.
The Wow Factor
I think i will get the echo layla.
