I’m lucky enough to own a D-18 also, and both are the highest quality and tone. I actually prefer the look of mahogany on the back and sides of the D-18, but bought the D-28 because of the rosewood back and sides which gives it a different tone, and is used in their higher end guitars. This is a guitar you can own for the rest of your life, and pass it on to family or friends.

This is my first high end Martin guitar.I have had a few lower end Martins and a couple of Taylors.I bought the D-28 blemished.I checked it top to bottom,end to end and I couldnt find anything wrong with it.I did have to change strings and get it set up to my preferences.It plays and sounds fantastic.I now have an excellent guitar that I have always wanted at a great price and I couldnt be happier with my purchase.Thanks zZounds.I will be buying from you again soon.
