This is my second Marshall Half Stack. A few years ago I bought the MG100 head and matching cabinet. I liked it but it was missing that tube sound we all know and love. I upgraded my head to a DSL100 but I was still using the MG412A cabinet. The sound was big upgrade but I knew I was losing some of the DSL's sound with a cheaper cabinet and the head didn't fit properly on top of the MG cabinet. I was finally in a financial spot to be able to pick up this cabinet and I am SOOO glad I did. This is the sound I have always wanted. The DSL head and the MX cabs are a match made for great tone and sound!

"MX verses JCM1960"
I’m glad folks find the MX a great step up, but if you compare with the JCM 1960.You will be stunned..If you’re a saver I suggest waiting to afford the JCM..Plus you can find great deals on used JCMs around $400-$500.But to be fair, the upside to buying the MX on here is the advantage of being able to make payments and buying from a reputable company

i changed speakers to evh speakers and found sound is close to eddie original sound i also use evh 5150 iconic head with this cabinet and am very pleased with sound
