Bought a Marshall MG102GFX mainly because I'm not going to spend time programming, I just want to plug and play and if necessary tweak on the fly. So this amp is four channels which is two per side. Clean and crunch on one side, OD 1 and OD2 on the other side. Amp comes with chorus, flanged, octave etc and several delays. Easy to tweak! Also has two reverbs. Just pick a channel, tweak your tone and hit store, it dont get any easier than that. You can can get a programmable pedal with four buttons. Amp has 100 watts digital so its plental loud for gigs, great tones. For those players like me this is your pony buy it and git to jamming and quit wasting time programming. Nice job Marshall!

This Amp sound great, I had a very old mg100dfx amp way back in 2003, I loved that Amp also but had to sell it, this new mg102gfx gold series has very good soundAnd the killer Marshall Crunch that I missed for so long, very glad to have it backYou can do a lot more with this Amp and it takes Pedals fine through the front, I was looking at the Marshall DSL40CR valve Amp, but read tons of reviews on themHaving problems with tubes and stuff, This Marshall Mg102gfx Amp, may not be tubes but it sounds close with the Damping switch, very much worth buying and noWorries about tubes breaking down, I play my Gibson Les Paul standard, throughIt and it sounds great, don't be fooled by the fact it's not tubes, it is actually just as good and will last a lot longer if taken care of, Excellent Amp, I would buy it againIf needed to. Get the the 4 swtch foot pedal stomper for making pre sets.

Musical Background:

I have been playing since the 70's, Gibson Les Paul standard, and PRS

I like classic rock, blues and country,

I have owned a Marshall MG100DFX years ago back in 2003, had to sell it but lovedThe Amp, This Marshall MG102GFX, is very good!! I'm happy to have that MarshallCrunch tone again!, This Amp does a lot more then my old one, the Damping switchIs very nice close to tube sound, saving preset Chanel's with different tone and effects for each Chanel, Also the built in guitar tuner is great, very happy with order,Also get the 4 switch foot stomper pedal, where you can save settings to 4 differentFoot switches on pedal and access built in guitar tuner with the 4 swtch pedal,It's well worth getting the 4 Switch Pedal!! The whole sound is excellent!!!!

Received this amp and have been recording and playing it. It has great tones for the price point and loud enough to do gigs at 100 watts with 2 12" speakers. Easy to program, easy to use footswitch . . . what more do you need. This amp is for those who do not want to spend all their time programming an amp and wind up with a crappy tone. This is simple to use, plug and play that's it. Clean tones are good enough, crunch, OD1 and OD2 are good enough. for $599 just buy it and be happy!
