"Great looks, awesome sounding at a cheap price a drummers dream come true!"
This is my extra set for playing smaller gigs and jamming with other bands. My regular set that I use in our studio is a vintage early 70's 10 piece custom ludwig with 26in bass drums and all over sized toms.
Sound
Awesome natural tone, great for beginners or advanced drummers. Easy tuning and durable. Great sounding at any volume. Put a mike on the kick drum for live gigs with sound damper rings on the toms and snare and you have the perfect mix in low to medium volume situations.
Features
Hardware is tough enough to take heavy players. I wish they sold seperate ride and floor toms.
Quality
The finish is fairly durable, but will scratch if contact with other drums or equipment. I would suggest cases if you move them alot or play out alot.
Value
Yes, very much so.
Manufacturer Support
I wish they sold seperate ride and floor toms in other sizes.
The Wow Factor
they are very nice looking drums,I have the burgandy set and they look great on stage under the lights or anywhere else.

"Great Kit - Buy it"
great kit
Sound
Sounds good if you change the heads to pin strips or something better than what is fitted as standard
Features
Great kit for the price
Quality
Can't complain, the drums are great. The bass pedal and hihat stand are a bit cheap but fine for practising on. Ive upgraded mine for gigging though
Value
This is a great kit for the money. its easily as good as most mid range kits that are a lot more expensive
Manufacturer Support

"well worth the money."
Could not ask for more for the money.
Sound
with proper muffeling and tuning this kit sounds impressive for the cost.
Features
you would find the same features on most starter kits. I love the sturdy tom mounts and double braced hardware. What really impressed me as a lefthanded player is that Mapex puts the V-series emblem on both sides of the mounted toms so they face out whether you play right of left handed.
Quality
very good quality. I would recommend these kits to anyone. Basswood shells seem superior to other starter kit woods.
Value
very pleased with the value...priced very reasonably.
The Wow Factor
After weeks of research, I chose the Mapex over 8 other kits. In short I made the right choice.
