i think the next time i'm goning to buy new drums will be 3 to 5 years.
Sound
The sound was very good, i liked the remo heads. The thing i was kind of dissapointed about was the snare drum, i had to switch that one with my pearl SS.
Features
The accessories were good, but i didn't like the bass drum beater, beacause of the mapex models come with a beeter one.
Ease of Use
It is a great kit, the sounds are great and it's not to hard to tune.
Quality
it's very well made and should last a long time. I can't wait to use it at my next gig.
Value
defanetly worth the price
Manufacturer Support
yes the company is great.
The Wow Factor
I think mapex makes truly beatiful drums. Mine are in black and they are very nice.

"For the price, you can't beat it."

The big problem with this drumset is the cymbals. The cymbals are extremely flimsy, and they don't have any shine to them. Not only that, but they don't have a name brand written anywhere on them. However, they are cymbals nonetheless, and if you are new to drumming, you can buy this and replace the cymbals later. Other than that, the drumset is very sturdy and looks cool, and sounds good.
Sound
Ok the cymbals suck. I replaced them pretty quickly. If you are completely new to drumming (as I was when I bought this), I suggest this drumset because it includes all the hardware and cymbals. The cymbals are not good, but they are included in the price nonetheless. The sound of the actual drums is very good though. I'm satisfied with it, although I would prefer smaller toms. These toms are pretty big and therefore give you a much lower sound. Good for playing Rammstein or Slipknot. The snare sounds amazing considering the price, although I must warn you that you need to tune the snare extremely tight to get a good sound.
Features
Not too many other drumsets include the throne, hardware, and cymbals. The bass drum beater isn't the greatest though...
Quality
This drumset isn't great, but it seems like it should last a while.
Value
Best drumset for the money no doubt.

I would never sell this kit just because it was my first but i mite save some money and get a custom made one from a guy i know that does it. If it were lost or stolen i would hunt it down and get it back lol. I love it completely theres nothin wrong with it. I would probably just get a new one for the band and pack this one up.
Sound
i bought this a few years ago as my first drum kit. i always played on my neighbors till i decided i was ready. He had a pacific dw and this just blows it away. Ive only been playing for 6 years. I needed to build on to it but what kit dont you have to.
Features
Yes it had many great accessories. I love the hardware and its cymbals.
Ease of Use
So easy to put together, the sound was amazing. I absolutly love the bass. Its ready to play straight outa the box.
Quality
Ive never had any problems yet, its solid and amazing sounding.
Value
Its a great price for the sound and everything. Well worth the money.
Manufacturer Support
They handled everything very well from the store i bought and mapex also. I broke the springs on the old pedal they replaced them right there no charge as well as when i cracked the hi hats and the crash.
The Wow Factor
Its very sexy the colors especially the steel gray its so shiny i love it. They didnt have it when i bought mine but the black is just as sexy thats what i have.

Sound
Wow was I impressed with the sound. I heard several low end store brands and went on a recommendation of a friend to get this kit. I am very glad I did.
Features
What can I say, all wood kit, including snare. Came with stands, pedal and throne.
Ease of Use
easy setup.
Quality
perfect out of the box.
Manufacturer Support
ZZounds is the best. I changed an item I had ordered. Unfortuantely it had already shipped, that is when the customer service started to shine. I got 2 messages at home from the representative saying it had shipped and that he had emailed me a return authorization. I checked my email and there it was. Excellent job guys.

This product should last a long time. If this kit were to wear out or break i would probably spend a little more money and get a higher end mapex or something else, but i don't believe that will happen for a very long time. Overall i am very happy with my purchase and also with zzounds service in shipping it to me. It came very fast!
Sound
Great Sound that comes out of this kit. The remo heads make it sound even better!
Features
Comes with remo heads which I was very happy with. The hardware is very sturdy and should last awhile. It also Includes a throne which is a plus. Comes with a instruction DVD which i found very helpful!
Ease of Use
This kit fits my style of playing pefectly. Was very easy to get the sound i wanted out of these drums.
Quality
Seems very well made. This kit should hold up for a very long time. It is made of basswood which is a very common wood to use for drums and other instruments. I was ver impressed with the finish. I got the Burgundy Wine Red set and under the light it looks fantastic! I wouldn't have any problems using this kit for a gig.
Value
I believe this product is awesome for the price!
Manufacturer Support
I have yet to deal with the support...i don't expect to since this drum kit came perfect.
The Wow Factor
As i said before this kit looks flawless under the light! You will get a lot of looks with this kit :)

3-4yrs
Sound
these drums sound great and are easy to tune, and plus they come with remo heads. i just couldnt get along with the snare though.
Features
the tuning is easy, mine came with a disk on how to set it up perfectly, but i just didnt like the bass pedal.
Ease of Use
these drums are just as easy to use as other drums i suppose. the tuning is fairly easy and setup was quite easy.
Quality
these drums look great! i got a grey steel finish which isnt available here(didnt buy from here). the hardware has been perfect for the time being but i dont see any problems in the future.
Value
i deffinetly think these drums are well above their worth and will last me a long time.
Manufacturer Support
didnt buy from here so lets just go with 10!
The Wow Factor
it looks great and is bright and shiny, what else do u need.

Mapex Q5254TA Q Series Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I'll probly get a new kit in 10yrs.
Sound
One of the best sounding drumsets I've ever heard. Although I do recommend changing out the remo heads for the Evans G2 heads for the side you play on and the G1 heads for the bottom. Other than that........ absolutely amazing.
Features
The tom mounts on the bass drum is very sturdy and strong. The only thing i didn't like about it was the fact that it was on the bass drum. I would rather have my toms mounted off a stand so I did that once i got the kit. But thats all player preference.
Ease of Use
By far the easiest and most maintainance free equipment I've ever owned.
Quality
What can i say.....It's MAPEX.. And it's quality is unsurpassed. By far the best
Value
UNBEATABLE!!!!!
Manufacturer Support
The folks here at zzounds were amazingly helpful and would recommend this site for your every buying experience.
The Wow Factor
Especially if you get the red one... I had more ladies ask me bout this than I wanted to talk to.
