I purchase this speaker along with the Mackie 118s , got it hooked up sounded great very loud and very clear , but 1 problem the Bluetooth will not work when paired with the sub , the Bluetooth works great but not when Hooked to a sub , so I purchased the SRM 215 v class cause Mackie support said that it would work via Bluetooth with a sub and it did by the way (shout out ) to Jordan @ Mackie support great guy , but one problem the SRM 215 v class didn’t sound near as good as the 215XT wasn’t even Close ! So I definitely recommend the Mackie 215XT speaker very loud speaker and the clarity is off the charts , way better than the SRM 215 V CLASS … o by the way the people & zZounds all are very good people !! Thanks

Hey, hey! I recently purchased these speakers. I literally put them up on their stands yesterday. When we think of our basic EQ, low, mid, and highs, the clarity on the top end is sweet, the mids punch through well, and the lows sound great. I do suggest the sub, which I will purchase later. Not because these mains sound weak in the lower spectrum of the EQ. The sub would sweeten the deal. They are effortless to manage when assembling for gigs, etc. I used to have to fight with the stand and the monitor when I assembled them alone. 15 years ago. No problem. These days, I would need a hand. However, with these pups. Up and in with no issues. They are very light for a monitor, and they are durable. The packaging states they are built like a tank. I'm not sure anything is built like a tank these days. One should be taking care of the gear anyway. These are worth the money. I would spend the extra dough on the XT models. The options with EQing for certain venues are a cool feature. 5 stars.Let's chat about zZounds' customer service. It's top-notch, fast, and to the point. For some reason, we had shipment issues with FedEx. 2 of the items were returned to zZounds during the shipping route. I contacted zZounds. They immediately shipped me both items out of their warehouse and had them in my hands by the promised shipping date of the original shipping date. They are in Oregon. I am in Ohio. Excellent job, zZounds. A shout-out to Ashley, Matt, Andy, and the Supervisors of the team! Jordan and another supervisor which I do not know his or her's name.

After faithfully carrying around my JBL MR speakers, I’ve retired them for this set of Mackie Thump 215 XR speakers. Off the rip - very lightweight. I’m talking one hand needed to carry, even after having a hip replaced a month ago! The “link” is cool, it ONLY works for Bluetooth paired devices. What I mean by this is if you are using it for live sound (like a band), you will need a female to female XLR to daisy them, and or run a separate line out from your board. The Bluetooth though with your computer or phone WILL PLAY OVER BOTH SPEAKERS, without a cable - which is so dope. I am imagining myself drinking a beer at the bar between set breaks, causally muting speakers or changing songs or making announcements (with a wireless mic) - without being strapped to the mixing board. FREEDOM. The price is just right, hurts a little - but not too much. Loudness is there. I bet these pair well with a sub woofer, but without it will be plenty for a medium sized venue (Like your average dive). Overall I’m a fan! Lowest star is for the really awful application they make a big deal about - it’s just not all it could be, ya know? The instructions come in 10 languages - and none of them describe how to really use the speakers fully. So be prepared for that. Once you figure it out you’ll be just fine!

Sounds great, plenty of power, looks good, and Bluetooth is wonderful. This speaker has many uses such as a wireless house speaker, and I will be using with my Roland TD-27 drum kit. The new Thump 2 App is great…Need to get the subwoofer next, and maybe one more Thump 15 just to balance it out.

They sound great, really do. With what I do, I don't have to really worry about blowing them out. However...the power light just quit working out of the blue after maybe 20 hours of total run time. So Mackie fairly quick with a reply -"ship it on yer dime, we'll get to it"So 1/4 of the overall cost to fix something that'll probably break again by the end of the month?No rma- no label- no "our bad, let's make it right"Just the Wiggum "ha ha" laugh is all I hear. I was a total Mackie homer until this morning
