These aren’t as good as the thump 215, honestly the 1300w Thump 15a is even a little better than speaker. You can get used thump15a (1300w version) for around 250 used and that’s probably the route I’d go if you don’t mind used gear. It’s not a bad speaker but was looking to replace my thump15a and I think I might just keep these as back ups/monitors

I purchased a pair of the 12 inch thrash speakers. I have a big set of speakers and a big Soundsystem I use for DJs and bands… I wanted something I could use for birthday parties, small events that were lightweight and easy to use… so I purchased a 12 inch thrash speaker and be honest they are not bad. They are lightweight built strong, have a decent sound, and for the most part do the job. Yes, they lack in the really low end but overall for a full range speaker for a small, medium size party or event. They are just fine and you save a ton of money…. if you’re looking for a very well, priced economic and decent sounding speaker, this is the way to go. I may order the 15 inch thrash just see the difference for that price you can’t go wrong.

I have 4 of these two are my mains, two are monitors and they have clean sound and more than loud enough for a busy 5 peice band. Been a fan of mackie for 20 yrs. It's true the low end is lacking but thats why you need an 18 inch sub to have a more rounded sound, don't confuse the mids and highs with these either.

Not a good investment! I bought a pair in September of 2022, by August of 2023 they were both not working, one is now completely inoperable. The other has to be put on Max volume on the main before it will sound. I contacted zZounds after I realized that it wasn't bad connections or chords... they had only been on 8-10 gigs in a year! By then the 1 year "front speaker" warranty, which I thought was at least 2 or 3 years, was over. So I started looking for a place to get them fixed. But mackie has the schematic only for "authorized" shops... the closest one to me would be like little rock, i think it was...I live in Ms. shipping would be the cost of another speaker for each... I emailed support for mackie but they wasn't willing to talk to me. Guess I should go to QSC and pay the price. Just Disapointed.
