I was surprised by the quality of this mandolin. Every thing: tuners, bridge, frets, electronic including the input jack function with out s difficulty. Nice solid top mandolin clunck.
Sound
Good sound acoustic and plugged in. Internal pick pushes treble sound which makes it easier to dial in a balanced chime
Features
Internal pickup volume and tone controls
Ease of Use
Feels good to play. Comfortable. My hands are partially disable so I’m very sensative to playing fatigue
Quality
Works good.
Value
Exceptional. Quality for the price
Manufacturer Support
None neefed
The Wow Factor
Stars and moon pattern look much better than I thought. I think it’s cool but certainly matter of taste

Musical Background:

Musical Style:

Everything . Christian, blues. Rock

It’s not a terrible mandolin at first glance. The neck and body finish feel smooth and great. The sound of the mandolin itself is amazing. But not even a day after I had it, I noticed an intence buzz from one of the strings. It continued to get worse and has only progressed to different strings. It has resulted in me not picking it upas often as I had planned. Personally I would pay more for a quality instrument, but if you’re looking for something on the cheap end. This should do the job, but be mindful of issues that may persist.

Got my Moonbird that has been backorderd for months yesterday. I usually like Luna products but what a piece of junk! It has several cosmetic flaws like gaps in the binding or being ground away in spots on the back of the body scroll to nearly the wood and left rough, tuner machine bushings not completely seated or installed at an angle causing several of the tuners to bind. If that isn't bad enough, the entire endpin jack tailpiece assembly is off center by a full 3/8"!! To correct it you would have to widen the hole to a sloppy 3/4" slot to get it centered. There is no way this thing could ever be properly intonated! Can't comment on the electronics because I never even bothered to plug it in. Made of very thin spruce laminate front sides and back and a cheep thin flat black paint. This is not worth $40 let alone $400. Sent it back. Save your money and buy ANYTHING else.
