Ludwig Supralite Steel Snare Drum

Enjoy a mighty crack with tons of body from the Supralite. The 1mm beaded steel shell controls overtones while retaining that classic Ludwig character.

I've wanted a steel snare for years and decided to upgrade my Ludwig kit with the Supralite. Can't beat zZounds' free 1 day shipping! After some minor tuning and snare tension tweaking, the sound and resonance is amazing! I would highly recommend this drum for beginners and pros alike! Another great deal from the folks at zZounds!

I needed a snare for a gig because the one i had broke in transport. i frantically looked around for something that wouldn't break the bank and was also durable enough to take a beating over time.I originally was looking for a wooden snare because that's all i ever knew but my friend suggested i look into deep metal snares, he said they can be used for a wide range of genres and they are built for heavy players. i said OK and took to YouTube to find out more about the snare he suggested... after watching like 10 videos i was convinced this was the one for me. i was pleasantly surprised i could achieve what i was looking for at half the price of what i thought. I bought my 14 x 8 for just under 200... Winning!!!!! i paired it with an ambassador snare side and 32 snares and swapped the lid for an Aquarian high energy batter head and i absolutely love it... i couldn't ask for a better snare set up, I'm just mad i didn't know about this snare earlier. i cant wait to record with it this weekend.
