I used to have an Ibanez Troubadour acoustic guitar amp, but lost it in pawn years ago and have been kicking myself ever since. I've been playing guitar for 40 years or so and own a Takamine single cutaway, steel string that was my very first purchase with zZounds years ago. I also have two Breedloves, one the pursuit concert 25th anniversary limited edition (steel string) and the Breedlove pursuit concert nylon string. I also have a Epiphone 1960's tribute plus Les Paul with the tiger striped carved maple top, they all were purchased a Zzounds. Anyway I don't know what happened, but the Ibanez acoustic amplifier models that zZounds had listed just vanished one day without a trace. I was looking for an amp like the troubadour, and started looking at what was available, this Laney was only $249 and it had a $41 payment for six months. I 'd never played a Laney but did some research on them and ordered this amp. My three acoustics through this amp have a very mellow, pure sound quality that was not expected. I sometimes use my Line 6 POD PRO which makes it even more versatile. Playing with my band is plenty loud using the line out for the PA system, and the fact that it lets you sit it back at an angle it works very well as a monitor. I know how guys are that everything has to be huge and they would never consider an amp as compact as this. It's your loss if you refuse to consider this amp, my Les Paul played through this amp has the same warm, full, audiophile sound quality of my acoustics. If you want to carry around a two hundred pound amp that's the size of a house and costs as much, then by all means go for it. This Laney amp has a very smooth almost audiophile quality sound, I'm extremely impressed with this little amp and will purchase other Laney products in the future.
