"Laney Lionheart L5T112 Guitar Combo Amp - Awesome"

This is the tops. 5 watts just does not do it justice. Powerful, yet oh so much tone!! It can give you all the dialed in tones. Pedals in front or not this amp does it all. Reactive to pick attack is an understatement, I have not experienced such a sensitive amp. Laney has this one just right. I own Mashalls (JTM 45 and TSL 60), Fender pro reverb, and Blackstar (which is nice sounding) but the Laney is just the Go To amplifier. You wion't be disappointed, go for it!!

I've owned many amps over the years... Mesa, Fender, Peavey, and many others. Some 'iconic' (such as an old 'block logo' 5150) and others hardly known. This is my favorite of all I've owned. The only minor 'shortcomings' I'd note are: 1) shared EQ, although, this amp sounds so good at any setting, it really isn't an issue; and 2) the reverb isn't the best I've ever heard. It's not bad, but not as good as what I had on my Mesas or Fenders. Also, Laney has a very limited presence in the US. So it's not like you can just drive to your local Laney dealer and drop it off if you ever should need warranty service (though I don't think you ever will). You'll have to pack it up and send it to a 3rd party, which kind of sucks. But I'm not even worrying about that. By the way, at 5 watts parallel single-ended Class A, let me assure you this amp is LOUD and can absolutely hang with a drummer in a 4-piece rock band. Headroom will be limited, but the tone is beautiful.

bought here about 7 months ago and LOVE IT! A friend built an 8 ohm 15" cab with a 30 year old radio shack speaker which in combo with the VOR i installed in the laney is great. i use it mainly for humbucker guitars. PURE TONE!!! I have never had an amp in this price range this good.

"Killer amp!"

Wow. I have a lot of very nice amps, but this little monster is the real deal! Sounds like "your guitar"; not like a Marshall, or like a Fender, or like a 'whatever'...just smooth, accurate, detailed reproduction of what's plugged into it. The clean channel doesn't stay clean except for low volume levels. Love the two channel foot-switch capabilities. Reverb is foot switchable, too. You can dial up nearly any sound straight out of this amp, with no pedals, except for full-on thrash metal. Love it!! It has a very big sound...no "little amp/little speaker" sound here. The 12" speaker really pumps it out. Extremely touch sensitive to pick attack, too.

"KILLER amp"

Honestly, I get tired of reviews where people say ridiculous things like "This amp is like a cross between a Fender and a Marshall and a Vox and a Mesa Boogie and a Dr Z and a every other amp I like". But man, this amp. I can seriously get close to Fender, Vox and Marshall. But that being said, it really is its own thing. It has a REALLY sweet tone. Usually, when my amp has sweet tone, that means it isn't very articulate or clear, but this one remains VERY clear and articulate. I really dig the clean channel, and I REALLY love the dirt. I don't really use the effects loop much, I run my effects straight into the front of the amp. I've found that a tubescreamer type circuit really drives the front end of this amp really well. Just a fantastic sounding amp. It is a VERY loud 5 watts, so don't think you're only getting a bedroom amp here. This is definitely loud enough to gig with. It'll get loud enough to be heard over a drummer, which is all you really need. If you need to get louder than that, you're dealing with a PA anyway. Just buy it. You'll love it.

"BEAUTIFUL TONE"

Sound
This amp is everything I've been searching for. The tone is heaven sent. The clean channel is lovely and anyone who says it isn't loud must have blew their eardrums out from standing in front of too many 100 watt stacks. The drive channel is awesome and really makes your high end pedals sound great. I have around 50 pedals some cheap and some high dollar boutique. I can really tell a difference in the character of my pedals through this amp. If your looking for an amp that can go from beautiful fender clean tone to great cranked out classic rock/alternative, this is it. I own a ton of gear and never felt compelled to right a review until I bought this amp!
