I bought this microphone to record acoustic guitar. It really does a nice job and translates very well in the mix. This mic has high boost which adds air to the track, also has a roll off and a -12db pad. great mic for the money. If you are recording acoustic, strings or drums, this is a great mic.Have not had to use support, but I know they are great, because I have been in touch with them for product testing. Great mic.

I've just gotten into recording with DAW, so my opinion is not that of an expert. I can confidently say that compared to an SM58, SM57, or an Audio Technica AT2020, this mic sounds much better on an acoustic guitar. I mentioned those mics because that's what I currently own. I've only used it on acoustic guitar, that is what I purchased it for.It comes (mine did) with the "Air" setting engaged by default, so you may want to move that slider to the "flat" position before trying out the mic, then engage Air so you can hear the difference. The Air setting adds some high end sparkle or "fragility" that sounds really cool, but maybe not an effect you want on all the time. The flat setting sounds like a conventional, high quality mic. In general, I'm very happy with the mic.
