First of all, shout out to zZounds for making it possible to purchase high end electronics such as Maui 44 g2. This is my third big purchase from here and I have yet to experience disappointment of any kind. Thank you zZounds! Now, I finally read all the reviews and watched all the videos about the Maui 44 g2 before pulling the trigger and making the purchase. I have been a mobile DJ for a long time and have used various monitor/sub brands from American Audio to QSC, which is probably the real reason I chose to buy the Maui...to try something different. I'm glad I did! This thing does not disappoint, depending on what your needs our. Over the years I have learned audiences at the type of gigs a mobile DJ plays to, appreciate good sound quality over sheer loudness. The Maui can accomplish both, but when having "loudness" in mind, the Maui is great at filling space at a volume that is satisfying for parties inside or outside. When I unboxed it, I was impressed by the build quality and the overall appearance of the system. I connected the two columns to the sub, plugged it in, paired it with my phone, and turned up the volume and was very pleased with what I was hearing, so were my neighbors, who all decided to venture into my backyard. I'm no tech, so I can't bore those who are reading this with specifications. All I know is this, if you're looking for a mind blowing sound system that your audience will appreciate, is easy to setup, I am recommending to give this a whirl, especially if you have been on the fence about it. Now, as for the price. I firmly believe you get what you pay for and so far I think it's worth it's asking price. I gave it 4 stars simply because for that price, they could hook the buyers up with the carrying bags.

"A Column Array System in a Class by Itself."

I have been using column arrays now for about 4 years. I have usedEvolve 50's, Maui 28 G2's, RCF J-8's, RCF Evox 12's, and a few others. These Maui 44 G2's are on a whole other planet.I can only describe the 44 G2's as MEAN. These things sound amazingand they are SUPER LOUD, without being harsh. When you crank thesethings up, you know they mean business. The sound is nice and eveneverywhere in the room the sound needs to be, and since LD Systemsengineered these columns with a cardioid pattern, you don't getblasted in the ears like you do with every other column system I haveever used. The sound is where it should be, on the dancefloor.LD Systems engineers have specifically engineered each driver in thecolumn to reduce the amount of feedback you get on the mic withouthaving to think too much about the EQ. I cant stand inches in front ofthe speaker and talk into the mic and get ZERO feedback. The only downside to these speakers is the weight and the price. Theseare not a cheap date and they are not a skinny one either. I thinkit's somewhere around 115 pounds in total weight, but it still beatsthe setup time and hassle of the conventional "top over sub"configuration.I have nothing against the RCF Evox 12's, which are the closest thingto compare to these, but the design of the Evox 12's defeats thepurpose of a column array system. A column array system is supposed tobe portable and quick to setup. The Evox 12, you still have to totearound the sub pole, then use a cable to connect the sub to the topcolumn. Not the end of the world, but again, I could spend less moneyon a traditional top over sub setup and the setup times be the same. The Maui 44 G2's setup in 15 seconds. Seriously! I had both of my Maui44 G2's setup, wired, and sound testing in less than a minute. This speaker system has far exceeded my expectations and I'm currentlyswitching my entire sound arsenal to all LD Systems.
