"Portable meets powerful in a quality product that is meant for the road."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I will probably use this until it's dead or I get a big fat check from someone for a nicer portable system. (For my big dances I do have a true DJ rig).
Sound
For the size of the speakers the quality that comes out of that little system is amazing.
Features
You can't get any better than this product for $450. It is just impossible. I use this two to three times every week and can't believe how reliable it is. It also travels really well with it's included travel rolling bag. I would say that the most useful feature is the volume for the auxilliary audio jacks that are separate from the main. I use this feature in taching my dance classes as I can turn it up separately from my wireless headset mics. Then it becomes a really nice as an all in one DJ kit. I have my computer plugged through it, I hit my playlist and everyone is dancing.
Ease of Use
This thing is a breeze. Super simple set-up and tear down. It takes me 10 minutes to set up and 5 to tear it down.
Quality
I beat this thing up. Like I said, I use it two to three times a week every week and it keeps going. I have had it for over two years now and it is just fantastic.
Value
I would never have expected something that cost me $450 to last as long as this thing has. I am very impressed in the quality and workmanship that has gone into this system. I may have to upgrade sometime soon to the profile 2
Manufacturer Support
No opinion, I haven't had to use service.
The Wow Factor
It does look great. It is really very nice and smooth, looks great set up on a table or on it's stands. (That is probably the only complaint about the product is the proprietary stands).

"Kick ass portable PA"

Can't see having to replace this, unless Metallica hires me as the rhythm player... and that ain't happenin'!
Sound
Use it in my home studio for recording, and small clubs for vocals only. Amazing sound for such a small package.
Features
Got everything you need for recording and small gigs. You do need to replace speaker connections.I tried the Fender version, and it doesn't compare. Use it for what it's designed for, and it can't be beat.
Quality
The Kustom stickers on the mixer and speakers want to peel off, but no biggie. When they eventually fall off, so be it. Still will sound the way I want it to. And will give my room for a customized logo...
Value
Can't beat it with a stick!
Manufacturer Support
I haven't had to deal with them yet. But my set is only 6 months old... time will tell.
The Wow Factor
Does everthing I need, at a price that can't be beat... forget the Fender version... try this!

"I run a music studio and I use this product as a monitoring device."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I think I will wear it out. after I would just buy a regular amp. In my studio I have another mixing console. I just use the Kustom system for amplification.
Sound
I use it every day in my studio as monitors. thank you...
Features
I think it would have been better if it would have had headphone out puts and aux outs. that is the only complaint I have with it. I use it every day with my studio mixes.thank you...
Quality
I've had my Kustom system for quite some time now,and I have not had one complaint.
Value
I bought my system on a short notice. My daughter was graduating from preschool and the school was going to use a boom box, so I went out and bought it the day before the graduation. there were many complements on the sound of the ceremony.
Manufacturer Support
I have not yet had to deal with any one concerning my system.
The Wow Factor
It looks and works great. I have no complaints with the system.

Sound
Sounds okay, very little bass..
Features
Lot's of features but low quality
Quality
I've had it for less than 2 years, with very little use.. not much gigging.. just practicing.. It randomly stopped working.. sometimes it works.. but goes out again.. I feel the quality is just horrible.. Wasted 400 dollars.. Argg!!!
Value
I guess I paid 400 dollars to rent a shabby PA for under 2 years..
Manufacturer Support
No support for my situation
The Wow Factor
I want something higher quality next time.. seems too much like a toy

"Nice when it works"

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Worked great the first three or four times we used it, then the next time, the amp went intermittent. Worked when we set it up then at some point, no sound. I took it apart, resoldered a couple of connections. Seemed to be working. Now a tweeter is blown. I don't think it was driven that hard really for a tweeter to be blown. In total, we used it around 8 times and it is busted again.

"Poor design, no thermal management."

Overall: 1 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Very poor choice.
Sound
AS long as it is not overheating, the sound is fair. It has a 100 watt amp, which is very limited.
Features
has basic features and phantom power, DSP effects board.
Ease of Use
Cannot be used in hot environments without modification first. The unit has 3 basic defects, all associated with improper cooling.
Quality
The product power amp is actually made by Sanyo. There are updates for it to stop it from overheating. It will require a cooling fan to be installed, and several other modifications. Very poorly thought out electronics, nice carry case.
Value
Don't buy it, it's a defective design. This is one of the poorest cooling designs I have ever seen, in any amplifier.
Manufacturer Support
The company was helpful in providing schematics, but not much else. They admitted the design was defective.
The Wow Factor
You don't want to buy one, big mistake.

"The Kustom System is a big bang for the buck!"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I'll work this system into the ground.
Sound
The sound quality is pretty amazing for this little unit considering it's so compact. You're not going to fill up a really BIG ROOM with sound but it was never intended for that purpose. It also works great as a monitoring system when tied in with a larger unit.
Features
The features are it's strongest area. It was one of the 1st mini systems that offered slap back & more. I use it in my home studio to produce sounds I can't duplicate with digital recorders etc. I find using it's playback features useful in mixing down my tunes too.
Quality
The construction of the hardshell cabinets are unique because they're molded with built in handles. But I'm a bit disappointed in the suitcase type container you're supposed to roll it around in. After just about 5 or 8 trips outside the house the fabric is beginning to tear where the speaker stands go.
Value
When it comes to value - this Kustom system was top notch.
Manufacturer Support
Not a problem yet but I haven't had to call yet. I guess that's a good sign.
The Wow Factor
Sexy? Yeah it looks better than the other systems but the small speakers are deceiving. Sometimes good thing do come in small packages.
