What a guitar! It was definitely worth searching around for. A lot of people do not have this bad boy in stock currently and I saw that zZounds had a customer return! I snatched it right up and now I'm in love with this thing. I have other Kramer Pacers from different eras. Kramer Kramers lol and Gibson Kramers. I gotta say, they nailed the replication of the original 83 Pacer Imperial. The neck is super fast, the finish of course is incredible, and it has that classic Kramer sound. I highly recommend buying this if you are a shredder or super duper lead guitar player. Another thing that's great is that I can leave my vintage Kramer's at home and play the new ones and be just as satisfied. Tremendous guitar! Talk to zZounds and get one today. They are the BEST company to deal with. Thanks again guys!
Sound
The sound is that classic Kramer sound heard on all those killer 80's records. No other guitar sounds like a Kramer.
Features
Everything is useful on this guitar. I love how simple it is. Two humbuckers, 2 volumes, one tone and a Floyd Rose. Rock solid tuning. There's a coil tap, but I rarely use that kind of feature. It does sound great when engaged.
Ease of Use
It's super easy to get a great sound. Plug it into an awesome amp and you're in business.
Quality
This guitar is built like a tank. Solid maple all around. It's a bit on the heavier side. I mean "guitar heavy". 8 pounds isn't heavy on it's own, but y'all will understand.
Value
This guitar is a steal for the price. It should be around 1200 bucks, but it's not.
Manufacturer Support
I have dealt with Gibson in the past. It works out if you're not jerky with them. Don't Gibson snob them and they won't Gibson snob you lol.
The Wow Factor
I'm a huge 80's shred lover. I love 80's music and consider it one of the better times for rock/metal. This guitar embodies all of that.

"Great guitar,have an issue though.........."

I've been playing for 35 years I've had original Kramer's, top of the lineJackson's a custom-made Jackson and a Schecter. So this is a full review on this guitar the good and the bad so far I've only seen people raving about it but there are a few bad things about it and I'm going to mention those. First the guitar sounds great the bridge pickup is awesome I didn't think I would care for the JB cuz I didn't like it so much in my original Beretta and I'm since become a demarzio person but the JB sounds great it makes my little crappy distortion pedal and Peavey rage amp sound awesome the guitar screams. If you're used to playing Jackson's with 24 frets then it does take a little bit of getting used to the next little thinner and there's no bonding on the neck and I have a very heavy hand so once in a great while the strings were rolling off the side of the neck but it's just something I can get used to and adjust my technique. The next feel is great the fluid is much better than the license although the fine tuners or little stiff and needed to be worked through and have a little bit of oil applied to them. The finish on this is flawless it's much better than my $1,500 Jackson tiger stripe guitar that I got, I bought that one fender took over Jackson and the paint job was horrible you can see where the tape was lifted and it was just really bad glue over the Frets very sloppy. Now for my problems and complaints with his guitar first there's a buzz on the low e string that will not go away I have raised the floyd up as about as high as it will go to the point it's uncomfortable to play and the low e still buzzes. The strings that were on there were definitely not through 42 however I'm not sure what brand they used but they felt like wire slicing through my fingertips especially on my hand and I tap with that I don't have as many calluses on and I've used the same strings for the last 20 years D'addario xl 120's, song for me with a few after 20 years lol right away I change the strings and did a setup and sure enough the 9342s they were only the guitar were slightly thinner than what I'm using the buzzing went away for a little bit but then it came back now I've started a return in case this doesn't resolve in a few days the weather here is very damp and wet and rainy and I don't know if the guitar just needs to sit around and adjust to my surroundings and the temperature conditions I'll give it a couple days now that I've set it up and see if the buzz goes away.My biggest complaint with this guitar is the electronics and I'm not talking about the pickup so though I don't care for the neck pickup the bridge is falling and sounds great but I don't care that much for the neck pickup. The wiring inside however is atrocious and the push pull pots which are not coil taps they kind of just lower the volume of the humbuckers if I pull one up it pops all the time then it's always hitting the back plastic plate all the sudden all this noise when I started happening buzzing popping cracking etc. I remove the rear plate which most of the screws were in the so tight and then they just stripped out it was a little pain to remove the plate but anyway the wiring inside is very cheap if I touched it it made all these noises I had to end up taking some electrical tape and anchoring the wires out of the way together so they didn't touch the plate stop for making the horrible noise the wiring in there was very cheap looking I like I said if I touched it it just made all kinds of terrible noise. It would have been a much better option had Kramer made the push pulls coil taps, instead of just switching the humbucker between parallel and series as I mentioned all it does is lower the volume of the home brokers and it's not even noticeable with distortion. The JB pickle sounds great but it does not clean up well at all the guitar has the treble bleed on it and you not only lose trouble when cutting the volume down but you gain a lot of treble and lose all your bass but it still has all the distortion to it it doesn't clean up at all hardly.I don't know if I just got some freaky electronics but they were all the guitar is very decent for the price just the wiring and the pickup selector switch I don't know why Kramer ever use that little tiny toggle switch. Mine doesn't seem like it's going to last too long. I can fix the wiring myself and why are the three-way switches for coil tap I really don't want to fool with all that with a brand new guitar but for the price for this guitar and for the feel of it and the sound of it I really can't complain about having the fool with some wiring LOLI don't see it it should be too hard to remove that little toggle switch slightly drill a bigger hole and put a regular three-way switch in there like as a Les Paul has on it hopefully that won't be an issue. And hopefully the buzzing stops and it settles in because I really don't want to return this guitar and be without one while they're waiting for it to come back to send me another one sounds won't send out another one until after I've sent this one back which is kind of a crappy policy since I'm having a problem with a guitar the very first day I got it so I really don't want to send it back and hopefully it'll settle in after the set up.One thing I would mention this guitar has a maple body and a maple neck my other guitars have rosewood fingerboards on them and or poplar and I believe one is older the Kramer doesn't sound anymore brighter despite the fact that I've always heard that Maple was a bright wood it may have something to do with the JB which is much better than a crappy Jackson pic of and the scheter pick up in my other guitar.I also can see where some of the paint were off the neck plate when they screwed it and it looks like it's made out of some zinc alloy it's got that gold copper color to it as do the Floyd post but the Floyd stays in tune great. Another thing I'd like to mention coming from the Jacksons and all my guitars having recessed Floyd's this one is top mounted. You can do the flutter things lately but I'm used to banging the heck out of mine and it doesn't touch the body because of the recess, with the top mount whack it too hard it backs and slams into the body and you can't pull up on the bar very far but that's not a very big deal breaker cuz I are very rarely pull up on the bar anyway. So overall for the price this is an awesome guitar it looks awesome it plays awesome it sounds awesome with a few exceptions that I'm having a problem with the buzzing and the electronics with the wiring I would definitely buy this guitar again. I love the tiger graphics, and I wish Kramer still made it in the honeyburst finish what's they doing it's only available when the tiger graphics and white. So overall it just seems like creamer skimped a little bit on some of the hardware and the wiring otherwise this is an awesome guitar.
Sound
Guitar sounds great it mean my little crappy rigs and what's better than my last guitar which has a crappy Jackson cheap pickup in it. The JB has a very fat mid-range sound to it I don't like the neck pickup however I believe it's a jazz but I can't quite remember. It might even sound better if it didn't have such crappy wiring in it which makes terrible noise the second you touch it I'm going to have to do something about that but that's not too big of a deal.
Features
I would have preferred that they made the push-pull coil taps instead of making the humbuckers parallel or series all they do is lower the volume of the humbuckers they do not give it a single coil sound. Or they could have made the push-pull out of face which is something to give it a much different sound than what it does looks like I said is just lowers the volume. The trouble bleed works a little bit too well LOL when you roll the volume down it doesn't clean up at all and you gain a lot of treble and lose all your bass, I don't know if that's a characteristic or the JB pick up that it doesn't clean up well or if it has to do with the treble bleed the Kramer has put on it.
Ease of Use
The thing sounds great right out of the box with a JB cranked up I'm using an mxr badass distortion pedal through a solid state clean amp and the guitar screams. There's a slight learning curve for me if that's what you want to call it because I'm coming from a Jackson it has a 24-ft neck this guitar has less frets and the neck is a little thinner there's no bonding on the edge of the neck so I have to get a little to getting my touch the little lighter otherwise the strings were rolling off the side of the fingerboard on me but I do have a very heavy hand so I'll have to get used to that. My Jacksons have 12 through 16 compound radius fingerboards on them supposedly the kramerr has a 14 all the way but it's not a big noticeable difference. The fronts are a lot taller on this neck then they were on my Jackson that's taking a little bit for me to get used to also but they feel much better in some ways than the lower frets on the Jackson.
Quality
The fitness on the body and the neck and the paint are awesome on this guitar I don't see any reason why it won't hold up but it feels very solid the electronics however or another story the wiring is very cheap if you touch it even through the plastic plate if you would hit on that hard enough the wiring just pauses and cracks and pops and it's very cheap wiring inside of it. The volume knobs are very smooth and the push pull pots or through the except for the one for the neck pickup pops when you pull it all and the little toggle switch that kramer uses it doesn't seem like it's going to last very long. The Floyd 1000 according to Floyd Rose is basically just a Korean version of their Germany original Floyd but the car that screws the arm on the threads are very rough on that the threads are rough on the fine tuner also but the thing does stay in tune great and it overall is much better than the license floyd on my Jackson. Floyd makes a much better arm that has a power to it that holds the bar stiff with a little Allen screw it's supposedly will fit on the Floyd 1000 but I looked at the floyd 1000 and I cannot figure out how to get the thread part off I'll have to call Floyd Rose and see about that, the screws in the saddles and the lockdown screws are much sturdier on the Floyd 1000 then they are on a floyd special that is for sure. This guitar is worth it personal loan just on the fact that it has the Floyd 1000 on it.
Value
This product is definitely worth the price and it's a great guitar although they really should beef up the wiring in it so that you don't have any problems on your first day like I am with it I can fix it that's no problem but I shouldn't have to and I don't see where wiring could really cost that much to raise the price of the guitar.
Manufacturer Support
I have dealt with the company that makes this guitar I called them asking him some questions and they were very friendly and gave me the specs. They were also very easy to get ahold of.
The Wow Factor
The tiger graphic is what appeal to me on this guitar, I'd always wanted a Pacer since the eighties and just never had one the price was right on this and that with the looks of this guitar appealed to me then after playing it for the first 5 minutes it just made me play much better even though I have some over learning curve to get used to with a different neck than I'm used to in the taller frets I just felt like I was reborn playing this thing LOL. I would definitely buy it again but I do wish that they would fix the issues that I'm having the wiring etc. This guitar I'm sure isn't for everybody it's strictly for somebody who's from the 80s and that's me and I love it, I've always loved guitars with graphics on it and now two of my three guitars have graphics on them my first Jackson was a custom Jackson was shattered glass painted on it I wish I had never gotten rid of it but anyway I'm totally satisfied with this kramer as long as I can get rid of this buzz on the low e string.

"Great pro level guitar at less than a pro level price."

Pro,1. A guitar with pro level feature at an intermediate level price.2. A proper set of Seymour Duncan's, A SH-4 and an SH-2(A JB and a Jazz).3. A sturdy maple body and neck.4. A Floyd Rose 1000 series tremolo bridge which is better than the typical Floyd Rose Special you'll usually get in this price range.5. 2 volumes with push/pull for series and parallel pickup configurations(BTW parallel isn't a coil split, it's still a humbucker with more of a single coil sound). 1 tone and a simple 3 way switch.6. The neck feels smooth and the frets are real medium jumbo unlike the cheaper classic version.7. I got one in a Bengal tiger paint for no extra cost. It's looks very 80's.8. It has extremely comparable specs to a Charvel Pro-Mod San Dinas for about $240 less.Cons,1. It's not going to be as good as a real 80's Kramer Pacer.2. It doesn't have an original Flotd Rose like an original 80's Kramer Pacer(but with inflation you can't really expect that anymore).3. It being a maple body it's going to be heavier than the typical strat style guitar made of basswood, alder or poplar, but not quite as heavy as mahogany. 4. The fretboard can be a pro or con depending on what you prefer. It's not made of ebony nor something like rosewood. I personally prefer pure maple fret boards.5. Again this could be a pro or a con, it only has 22 frets. I prefer 24, but since it plays well I can live with it.6. Lastly the biggest con. The setup out of the box is horrible. The actions is sky-high and the Floyd Rose will need to be adjusted. If you can't setup a guitar I suggest you take it to a repair tech to have it done. With the money you save over a comparable Charvel, Jackson, Schecter or Ibanez you should be able to more than afford it.This is a great nostalgic 80's shred guitar, it's a great looking guitar for any collection, it plays and sounds awesome(ONCE PROPERLY SETUP), but being a Bengal Tiger design I'm not if it's a guitar some misician would want to gig with. I don't gig, but if I did I'd gig with it because I don't care what other people think of the way my gear looks as long as they love the way it sounds

"Awesome guitar !"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Ok, so after looking around everywhere to find out what kind and what gauge strings come factory on this guitar, I got conflicting information. Never could find what name brand, but as far as gauge, some said 9's , some said 10's. Being more said 10's , I bought those anticipating that they would need changing. They indeed needed changing for sure. The strings were old and just total crap ! Then came the problems. The guage ended up being 9's after all. I do not live near a music store and did not want to order more, just to wait for days on them. So, of course I put the 10's on. Here is the deal, as long as you are skilled and familiar with Floyd rose systems, it shouldn't be that big of a deal, but if you do not have this experience... well, you may need a luthier/guitar tech to help set it all up for you. Be warned, changing gauge and even brands, will definitely require a complete new set up. It had been many years for me having a Floyd rose system on any guitar. So, needless to say, it was very frustrating to set up again. However, patience and just flat out being stubborn got me through that process. Once that is all squared away, you will absolutely love the results. With a nice set up, this guitar absolutely rocks !!! Highly recommend this Kramer in pearl white. It is beautiful, and the playability and tonal options are incredible. Is it my best guitar, probably not. However, definitely gig worthy and a keeper for sure. Add this beast to your arsenal and I promise that you will not regret it !

It’s finally here! Seems like it took forever to get here, been on back order a long time. Arrived in perfect condition and box very well inner box supports the whole guitar not just the neck. Was slightly out of tune, no problem there set up looks pretty much right on! And a sweet very smooth neck, think I’m gonna like this a lot. Before I do any major tweaking, I’m gonna have to let the guitar settle in to its new climate, I’m in Hawaii and the humidity is much higher here. Very happy with the purchase! And have purchased multiple guitars, and bases from zZounds, and probably will continue to do so.

I played nothing but Jackson's and ibanez's for years. I like the strat style neck intonation was perfect. Fret ends were perfect. I broke the mini toggle switch off the fifth time I played it. Gibson customer service was very polite. But they never got back with me. They said they were going to send me a new mini toggle and never did
