I owned a used Franken-Kramer back in the late 80’s, and was my favorite guitar which I literally played to death! This was the guitar that I cut my teeth on and was my first “real guitar”, but once I got more into songwriting as the years passed I found myself playing Les Paul’s, Tele’s, etc. Fast forward through years of writing, recording, touring...A few months back I spotted the Fluorescent Green Assault Plus 220 and about lost my SH*T!! My all time favorite color, 24 frets, set neck, Seymour Duncan pickups, locking tuners AND it’s made by Kramer?!?! I couldn’t order it fast enough!! Pros: zZounds had it to me within 2 days and right out of the box the color blew me away!!! To be completely honest, I bought this because it was a Fluorescent Green Kramer and I was NOT disappointed! The contrast of the maple fretboard and white pickups against the green owns face! Cons:It definitely needed a neck adjustment and a set-up, but for the price point it’s to be expected. The frets needed polished something badly also, but no sharp edges on the fretwork. Once I got the neck adjusted I plugged it into the tuner to start working on the intonation but wasn’t getting a signal?!?! Upon taking the backplate off I realized that the QC department absolutely SUCKS ASS in terms of checking the electronics as the wiring job was terrible!! When purchasing a BRAND NEW guitar you would expect things to work (like the pickups

Way late getting a review in for this guitar its a great guitar and love the way it plays and fantasitc build for price it plays wonderfull and cranks out some sound and a smooth neck. I just wish it would of came with the pickups it says it came with, mine came with the JB and Jazz set. I was not a fan of the JB & Jazz set on this guitar so I went out and replace pickups on it once I found it just didnt sound like the Seymour Duncan Alternative 8, Seymour Duncan 59 Classic setup. Every where I look on this guitar online and zzsounds site it says it's suppose to have come with these pickupsBridge - Seymour Duncan Alternative 8Neck - Seymour Duncan 59 ClassicI emailed Zzsounds long ago never got a response bummer I didn't buy a guitar for a bit after that but started buying agin from ZZ so hopefully that dont happen again. ZZ offers great buying opton for those whom cant afford a guitar right out the gate they offer paymnets just cant beat that thanks ZZ.

"Trying to figure out if this is a good guitar"

I purchased this guitar from zZounds about a month ago. First I want to say the picture on the website is misleading. This instrument is not made in Korea but in Indonesia (it would be great if zZounds would fix this almost immediately sent it back over the issue). I was honestly pretty disappointed with zZounds on that. The guitar I received has very little low end and I feel that there may be a wiring issue from the factory. So it is being heavily docked for the tone right now. The guitar has good appointments and the fretwork is great. The neck is super comfortable and is why I am keeping the guitar. Had the picture with the origin tag been correct and if the guitar didn't sound so thin this would have easily been a 5 star review. However, it is a 400 dollar guitar and as such I am fine with putting some money into it as it plays so well.
