I already own the previous version of this line of subs, but the 12" model and boy does that thing bump. I was a little hesitant to buy the new version of KRK subs because of the design. At first glance I thought they looked like they'd be more at home in the trunk of car rather than in a home or studio. But after watching a few reviews on YouTube they seemed to really like them and they were saying that the new design actually allows for more output and better bass quality so I started to become interested. I noticed also that this new design allows for easier room/ studio placement. I decided to get the S10 because it seems like the best bang for the buck, only $90 more than the S8 and about half the price of the S12, Im so glad I did! I l already love this sub more than my current S12. Truth be told the S12 is too darn big. Even in my living room used as a home theater sub it seems to be a bit large. I figured getting the next step down would be perfect and I was right! My advice is unless you have a very large studio or room you really don't need the 12", the 10" is perfect for smaller/ medium size room. Really wishing I didn't buy that 12 lol cuz for the price of one 12 I could've gotten two 10"s, that's 320 watts vs 220 watts. If anyone is curious Im running this new S10 with a pair of KRK Classic 7's, perfect set up! Anywho, I love my new S10.4 and am trying to sell my previous model S12, it'll serve someone else better, someone who has a larger studio than mine. Oh I almost forgot! My order came two days earlier than advertised! I love zZounds!

I just bought this to replace a gen 2 KRK 10s sub... All I can say Is WOW. The Difference is amazing. The Clarity to the other speakers and deep rich tones it produces is far superior to its predecessor. FAR SUPERIOR, now I loved my 10s fior the last 10 or so years, But this is a grand step above and it is noticeable. - Seriously, Its a great Sub for the Price Point. I would definitely recommend. FYI - iMac/Focusrite Interface/KRK S10.4/KRK8 pair w/ other reference Monitors
